Slip on Performance
I did not purchase this pad with the hopes of reducing recoil. Honestly, an AR-15 really does not need any recoil reduction. Falls off to easily
To easy to slip off. Walking through woods, hand carring rifle or with sling, would catch on clothing or brush and pop right off. I will have to find some way to fasten it.

Not very good for CAR-15 style stock
Nice to have something over the meat tenderizer stock. Looks to be made for the LE style m4/ar stocks. If you're needing it for a CAR-15 style, its a bit large with some overhang at the bottom. Also you'll want to zip tie it in place.

It's just better
I didn't get it for recoil control. I don't wear armor, so I got it for the additional ½" LOP, and the bigger foot print. It increases the height by ⅜" and the width by ⅜", and the rubber is much more nonslip than any polymer plate. I have 3 rifles with M4 adjustable stocks, and they all wear these pads now. It's a very inexpensive improvement, with a large effect.

- Some recoil reduction, but if shooting heavy calibers you'll want something better

Car15 recoil pad
What I ordered is not what I received, prepared that I received is not for a car 15 stock it’s for a crane stock, which is too large

Ar 15 / m4 butstock pads
These butstock pads saved this old mans shoulders, they are awesome. Now I need more guns! They fit any standard ar 15/ m4 adjustable stock and are simple to install and remove. I have one on my custom shotgun and one on my ruger ar556.I love these things. Thank you Optic Planet for the awesome products!!!!!
