Marvin's Review of Pulsar Thermion 2 LRF xp50 Pro 2-16x Thermal Rifle Scope
I purchased this scope after reviewing 6 models including AGM, ATF, Steiner. I found it to be my best fit. At about 2 lbs with the rangefinder it was about the best. I tried some clip-ons but no good for me since my base scope started at 4x. To use a clip-on you really need a scope that starts around 1x (to much magnification when adding the clip-ons). I also like the base menu system on the Pulsar. I did like the ATN also but the firmware is more complicated and the unit with rangefinder was over 3 lbs.
This unit is in the top end. I like the 50mm lens, resolution 640x480 @ 17 µm (NETD <25 mK), battery set-up (one permanent one removable), and the scope adjustment / saved zeroing points).
I will be using it more this fall and have only shot targets at this point. The picture and video recoding is also good but many units have basically the same thing. I mounted this to my 6.5 Grendel.
