The standard battery pack (IPS 5) is good for several hours depending on your usage/features; etc. I wanted a spare battery that would last much longer if I was without the charger. The IPS 10 is quite a bit bigger and heavier; not twice; but close. It sticks out well past the body of the Trail. 3/4"? That's ok with me as this is a last resort back-up. I used it 2-3 hours one night and appears I used about 1/4 - 1/3 of the reserve. Will not know unless I run it till dead. I am happy with it for it's intended use. Price was not much more than the standard battery. And they warned of t...

Great product, the charge last for well over 8 hours. I’ve only had the item for a couple of weeks, so I’m not sure about it’s longevity yet. I highly recommend this product, it’s a bit bulkier then the battery that comes with your scope.

The battery works and seams to last much longer than the standard battery that comes with pulsar products. Most of the Pulsar batteries are interchangeable, so it’ll work with multiple units. It’s a bit bulky and does add a bit of weight, but to be expected with a battery that lasts 10 plus hours.
Pros:
long lasting
Cons:
Bulky.
Best Used for:
pulsar Helion

While the biggest advantage of a battery pack system is avoiding the cost of constantly replacing expensive disposable batteries, the only way to truly maximize it is to have a backup. Unlike some electronic scopes with built-in batteries, the removable battery pack allows the flexibility of an extended hunt without the fear of running out of power.
And while the standard battery pack that comes with Pulsar scopes is adequate, for those long nights, the added power offered by this one is comforting. There's no other way to ensure the hunt can go on than to have a backup, so there's no excuse to not have one of these.
