Jan McLaren's Review of Pulsar Trail XP50 1.6-12.8x42mm Thermal Imaging Rifle Scope
I am very happy with the Pulsar Trail XP50 and Pulsar Helion Xp50. They really show coyotes well at night and the gun will get MOA {1 inch) groups with the scope mounted on it. But ordering the thermal monocular and the scope was confusing because the names were misleading. The Helion XP50 was called a Thermal Imaging Riflescope and I thought it was a scope for a rifle but it was a monocular and did not have a reticle in it. By contrast, the thermal rifle scope was called a thermal imaging sight and it had a redicle but I thought it was a monocular. It took several phone calls to straighten this out. I had problems mounting the battery to the devise when it was dark. It would be helpful if the battery bottom edge was tappered and it was marked as to what was front and rear. Also, I felt the instruction manual was not clear and difficult to understand. How every I am technology challenged. Overall, I was very impressed with it.
Pros:
- Excellant night vision
Cons:
- Poor instructions
- Mounting batteries
