Most Helpful Positive Review Necessity for what I do
I’m a guide in Texas for hogs and coyotes and have been using pulsar products for a while now. The LRF is simply put a must have. While the non LRF models are amazing, for me, the LRF makes life a little easier and takes a lot of guess work out! Simple push of the button and I know exactly how far a...

Most Helpful Negative Review Won't hold zero if its life depended on it
I did a lot of research before buying this extremely expensive piece of equipment for hog hunting at night and was so excited to recieve it. I went to the range to zero it (used hand warmers taped to the target) and it was quick and easy. So....in two weeks went hunting with a buddy. We set up in a ...

Works great

by Mfd, from MT, United States Written on February 15, 2020
Very satisfied. I wanted something to be able to find and kill coyotes at 300 yards plus. This thermal scope is capable of achieving that goal and more. Solid built unit and the rangefinder works very fast. I’m satisfied with quality/price.

WOW Amazing Scope

by KC, Verified Owner from PA, United States Written on June 29, 2019
It works wonderful for spotting wildlife around my home at night. I haven't used it for hunting yet, plan on it this year somewhere. I sighted it in during daylight hours and shot it at night using a hand warmer on my target. Worked well. Look out predators. I wear glasses and it works fine that way or without them. Range finder works well. Pip function is amazing. only real con is no user manual, it comes with quick start manual. You need the user manual. I liked this so well I ordered the Accolade XP50 Binoculars also
Pros:
  • Every thing works great! Optics are extremely sharp.
Cons:
  • No manual included
Best Used for:
  • Hunting Recreational viewing

Worth waiting for.....

by JV1963, from CO, United States Written on January 3, 2019
I had originally ordered the trail XP50, then after a bit more research on line, cancelled that order and ordered the XP50LRF. Glad I did. It has better resolution that what you can see when watching "youtube" videos. They're right you loose a bit on video of what you're actually seeing through the view finder. Quality made for sure. I have yet to hunt with it as you need a special permit for night hunting in Colorado which I just received. One shot zero took a bit more than one shot but if you use the "freeze" function it makes things real simple. I was 18" high and 8" to the right upon first shot. Used the "freeze" function and it was within 1.5" of center after that. Took a few more tweaks to get it exactly zeroed. Started at 50 yards then to 100....I have not recorded anything as of yet but all other functions seem to work as good or better that what i have seen on line. I have approx. 5 acres and we have deer and foxes constantly. They show up very well in either the white hot or black hot modes. I like the firs reticle choice....(small cross hair). For me it gives you the best un obstructed view of what you're looking at. Lazer range finder works awesome glad i waited for that. I found out if you're going to be hunting strange ground it's a necessity. I agree. Where i sighted it in its mountainous, after finishing i was simply scanning around as it fell into night. Scope and LRF worked great but i could tell if you were hunting it would be very har...

Amazing Clarity

by twilight hunter, from MI, United States Written on January 3, 2019
The Trail LRF XP50 has the top notch clarity of the standard Trail XP50 but brings the advantage of an on-board Laser Range Finder (LRF). The range finder works flawlessly with the rest of the scopes features and even when using the LRF, the PiP still provides the reticle for immediate shooting.
Pros:
  • laser range finder
  • 640 17um resolution
  • 2000 Yard heat detection
Cons:
  • None for me
Best Used for:
  • Night time hunting

Awesome tool for night time activities

by Brad, from TX, United States Written on January 2, 2019
The battery pack, built in recording, and built in ranger finder are awesome features. This is by far the best bang for your buck in the thermal world. The one shot zeroing is a super nice feature. And having picture in picture for shooting is amazing to have.
Pros:
  • Picture in Picture
  • built in rechargable battery
  • built in recording
  • one shot zeroing
  • built in range finder
Cons:
  • Makes me want to buy more
Best Used for:
  • hunting hogs and predators
