Most Helpful Positive Review How did I live without one
This powder measure is great. it simplifies the reloading process of my centerfire rifle loads. Once the scale is warmed up, loaded with the correct powder, punch in the load amount and hit go. In the automatic mode when you return the powder tray to the the scale, it's starts dumping another charge. Setup and calibration is a no brainer. Just make sure the scale is level, using the builtin level bubble. Follow the steps to calibrate and you are ready to go. Emptying powder, when done, I simple as sliding a tray under and opening the dump. A few brushes with the provided brush and you are done...

I don't regret buying it...but I also don't like it.

by Charlie, Verified Owner from CO, United States Written on June 11, 2025
I have loaded about 1000 rounds with the Chargemaster Supreme so far. When I run H110 through it I have no complaints. It works well for those kinds of loads. Using H1000 for 6.5 PRC and 300 PRC loads it was okay at best for me. I warm it up, calibrate and do the learn process every time. I also wipe the whole machine down with anti-static wipes. When throwing a 77 ish grain charges it will get close enough I am happy. My real issue with this dispenser is with H4350. Trying to throw 41.5 grains is super frustrating . I get maybe 5 in a row that are right...then a 41.8 then a 41.7 and then maybe back to 41.5. To load 50 rounds I average 70 throws. It always throws high..never low. I even tried the MK Machining anti static tubes...they made little difference for me. To some people this probably doesn't matter and I get that. I shoot 2000 + yards though and like better results than I am getting with this unit. It is pretty quick to throw a load and in general seems to get the job done. It is just not what I am looking for.

Easy to use, consistently accurate. I now wonder how I have survived without one of these.

Accurate, Affordable Precision Outcomes

by Smakwater, Verified Owner from MT, United States Written on February 9, 2024
The RCBS Chargemaster Supreme is very user friendly, and so far it is absolute accurate. Understanding the initial learning process for general use and set up took me less than 10 minutes using the RCBS instructional videos available on Youtube. Warm up, initial calibration, and set up took less than 5 minutes. After the initial set up, each make ready process thereafter takes less than a minute. It is in the moderate price point category of digital measurement powder dispensers which makes it affordable if you are on a budget. I recommend the RCBS Chargemaster Supreme for shooting enthusiasts who's pursuit of precision outcomes are based on personal loading efforts.
Pros:
  • Efficient and Accurate
Cons:
  • Should have better Warranty
Best Used for:
  • Reloading Enthusiasts

The item is fine, I own a few. THIS item is?

by JO, Verified Owner from WI, United States Written on November 21, 2023
THIS item appeared to be a direct ship item from a disty. No supplemental packaging, just the item's factory box with a shipping label stuck on it. Item was late in arrival and looked beat up. SO now I have a piece of precision equipment with dangerous consequences if in error that came from a box that looks like it took some serious drops and bangs.

  • None
Cons:
  • Packaging

Loving the RCBS Chargemaster Supreme

by Glacierwolf, from AK, United States Written on August 14, 2023
I started reloading in 1978 and been heavily involved in NRA high-power rifle + Centerfire Pistol competition and Alaskan hunting. I had the model 1500 Chargemaster from when it first came out and it finally wore out. Two biggest differences between the Supreme and 1500 you notice is speed and noise. Where the 1500 was noisy the new Supreme is nearly silent. Supreme is faster than the 1500 right out of the box without using the 'learn' mode that will make it faster. (last night I made 60 test loads in batches of 5. Lots of different charge weights. Should have taken me close to 2 hours. I was done in little over an hour.) The touch screen is sensitive and does not require any pressing down. The manual could have been organized and written better..... I think RCBS made the 'Warning Beep' obnoxiously loud to force new owners to dive into the manual as a learning exercise. Learning how to shut the beep off - teaches you how to navigate the menu. It has a built-in level 'eye'. I am guessing having it level makes things easier on the motor. Where the 1500 was two separate units this is all one sealed unit. In theory this should make it more reliable in the long run - no connector between the scale and measure to develop dirty contacts.
I took the calibration weights from my old 1500 and compared them to the two new ones - both sets are physically identical and identical out to two decimal places on a different scale.... so no worries your old 1500 pet loads coming out diff...

Good for the money

by Matt O., from SC, United States Written on June 26, 2023
This isn’t the most robust trickler and scale, but it is accurate and relatively quick. RCBS does a good job designing and pricing what I would consider an entry level dispenser. For what I paid for it I am more than satisfied. Optics Planet got it out to me quickly and safely as well.
