I have tried other rail adapters for my Glock and they all suck, this is the first one to actually work and provide me with an awesome rail. As for holster fit, I was able to find plenty of kydex options on the market, no big deal! I highly recommend!

do not buy this.
I bought this rail and as soon as I installed my X300 light on it, I was unable to remove the light because of how stuck it was to this rail. I had to cut this plastic bs off just to get my light back.
Installation is a breeze and breathes life into an old friend
I have my old Glock 17 and I really wanted a light on it. I found this with solid reviews all over and I bought it and I have never looked back. Just be sure you read the instructions when installing and you will be good to go!

Aftermarket rail for Glock 17 Generation 2
My wife purchased a Viridian laser & strobe for my G17 gen 2 that does not sport a mounting rail. Optics carries this neat retro-fit. It is an EZ install and works well. It would earn 5 stars from me if it came with the belt clip shown in the install video since it will no longer fit any holster that I can find. The package it comes in from RECOVER TACTICAL also says right on it that it includes the belt clip AND rail. IT DID NOT. Optics Planet contacted the manufacturer who claimed it no longer does and they also claimed it can now be purchased separately. I can not find it anywhere on their website. Unfortunately for now my G17 is a bedside insurance policy and can no longer be a concealed carry. I still give it 4 stars because it was a good solution for mounting my laser site.

Rail Attachment
Since i had purchased an older model Glock 22 it didn’t have the rails. I found these and thought it would be great to mount it on and attach my TLR 1 light. Upon receiving them and my holster designed for TLR 1 on a Glock 22 it wouldn’t fit. The rail comes down too far. I removed the light and tried the holster in previous ones that i had used and it wouldn’t fit either. Good buy if your constantly attaching and removing but overall to me ended up as a waste of money.
