tight on neck
The material is surely tough enough. This pack is heavy. The way the shoulder straps attach at top puts a pinch on my neck but quality to price ratio is OK. I would probably not buy again for my use, your results may vary.

Good idea...poor execution
So lets start here: 4.4 pounds empty. The straps come attached at a v point creating a neck choke if carried up high on back. The shoulder straps are curved and cut into my shoulders (i am broad) but this feels like a tactical backpack for a child. Also were the shoulder straps attach is a weak point and when loaded with 40 pounds they started ripping..after 2 miles...had to stitch and move on. Get something made for the real world.

Red rock engagement pack...
This pack exceeded my expectations in quality, appointments and accessories... It's capacity for gear is it's bonus. I like this pack. The price was a motivating factor, however I would pay full price if it were not on sale.
