Rem Chokes

by Prib, from CA, United States Written on May 1, 2019
If you live in California, as I do, and have an old Remington 870 with a new Remington ribbed barrel from Optics Planet--these extended chokes are a must! Why, you ask? Effective Jan 1, 2019 those who hunt in California are required to use only STEEL loaded shells. Most "full" chokes for an 870 do not handle steel shells. The "full" choke in the Rem Choke Tubes 12ga. Express Bundle Extended Imp./mod/full pack does! And they are reasonably priced!
Pros:
  • "full" choke handles steel loads
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Bird hunting

Exactly What I Needed

by Mark, from TX, United States Written on December 9, 2018
These chokes are lightweight and made for a perfect fit. I like these being the extended model other than the flush for a short 18.5" barrel as the chokes help to protect the bore from any damage, being extended they're also easy to remove and check if they're tight. These are exactly what I needed.
