Very effective - RISE Armament RA-701 AR Compensator

I did the research on this muzzle device and all of the tests consistently showed that it substantially reduced recoil and muzzle rise. I can now add more affirmation to those claims. My experience with this device thus far has been shooting with 5.56 ammo in the 55-65gr. range from the seated and standing positions. Recoil and muzzle rise are nearly non existent. At 50yds. looking through my BUIS the target doesn't leave my field of view after each shot making repeated target acquisition very fast. My wife is fairly new to rifle shooting and the addition of this muzzle device to our AR15 has greatly improved her ability to stay on target and shoot longer without fatigue. The device projects the blast to the side as its design would have it for the obvious benefits to the shooter, so take that into cosideration if you shoot in close proximity to others in tactical situations, but this has had no negative effects for others around me at a typical firing range setting. Additionally, the device does make the shots very loud which is of no consequence to me,although, worth noting as folks always comment on this when I am firing around them. Again, not a problem for me either.
