I haven’t tried using this barrel yet so I can’t comment on its accuracy. I do see that it’s made of high quality parts, bore is chrome-lined, and has a nice finish on all the parts. I ordered and installed a front sight parts kit as there isn’t one installed in the front sight tower. I have many parts for the delta ring assembly as there’s only the barrel nut installed on it. But at least you can finish assembling the delta ring parts without having to remove the front sight tower. They installed a short tube that just sticks out the inside of the ring to keep it from shifting since the barrel is for a blow-back type with no gas tube. I was, at least for me, that the front sight tower is not “F” marked because I’m using a Luth-AR early M-16 style upper receiver with a carry handle as part of the receiver. I won’t have a problem with the front and rear sights at different heights. I needed to touch up the finish on the front sight tower pins. They had some wear on them. The description of this barrel states that it’s a pistol length gas system. There’s no gas system and my standard carbine-length plastic handguards fit perfectly. The barrel wasn’t inexpensive but it is made of high quality parts and looks very nice. The installation of the barrel was easy. Because there’s no gas system you don’t need to index the barrel nut to the gas tube hole in the upper receiver. This is the barrel for your high quality build! Good chrome plating from breech to muzzle. Heavy profile barrel that is .875" ahead of the chamber to .750" at the front sight post. Post is top dead center with the chamber alignment pin. No cant on this front sight post! The barrel at the chamber seems to have a bit more throat than the original Colt 635 barrels. This barrel is my "go to" barrel for select fire. It is plenty accurate as well!

Nice and heavy for good heat dissipation. Quality chrome lining. Front sight post is top dead center of twelve o'clock. The heavy contour adds the right amount of weight out front for controlability. Better than the original Colt 635 barrel. I couldn't ask for more!

I purchased this barrel for a Colt 653 Retro project. It appears very well made and should work out well. You would be hard pressed to find this configuration elsewhere for a retro look. Good solid barrel
