RUG 90461 ELITE 452 MSR TRIGGER
I couldn't believe how bad the original trigger in the Ruger AR556 was. It had a very heavy mil-spec pull and literally not much fun to shoot. I changed it out with the Ruger 90461 ELITE 452 MSR Trigger. What a major improvement, I love the crisp light pull it has now.
Installing the 452 trigger assembly is difficult.
When trying to fit the retaining pin holding the trigger assembly there is a small second piece holding the tiny spring in place. It is very easy for that piece to slip out of place when trying to line everything up to fit the retaining pin in place. You will not know it is not in place unless you turn the lower unit upside down and it falls out. If the pin does not fit through that piece the rifle will fire, eject the spent cartridge, but fail to latch the hammer

Ruger Elite 425 MSR Trigger
What noticed right off the bat was my first round fired was a bullseye after that all in the 10 ring with assorted bull eyes. I would recommend this to anyone who would like a smoother trigger pull and control on trigger squeeze.
Pros:
- A good up grade
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- accuracy
Would recommend: Yes
Great Bang for the Buck
A great two stage trigger I added to my 6.5 Grendel. My Ruger 556 MPR has it so when I got the Grendel and found out I could get the 452 and install at the price Optics Planet had it. No brainer smooth as butter, had to get it.
Pros:
- Great
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- AR 15

Neat easy change
I installed the Ruger® Elite 452® AR-Trigger in my Ruger 556. When I charge it and move the safety lever to Safe, the trigger will still move to the first stage. The old trigger is immobile when the safety is on. At first, this bothered me but it absolutely will not move thru the second stage so I am comfortable with it. I love a two stage as it takes less effort to move to fire the rifle. I am prone to anticipate and this trigger helps me a lot. I am very happy with it.
Pros:
- Price and Ruger OE
Cons:
- None

Great Upgrade
I've been running this trigger in my AR for a few years now, and it is easily the best bang for the buck modification I have done. The first stage take-up plus the second stage is still light, but has enough travel for safety. When shooting fast, the 2-stage nature isn't really all that obvious or noticeable, but when shooting deliberately it is quite nice to stage it right to the point before the second stage breaks, then just a tiny bit more pressure and the round is going downrange before crosshairs on a 24x scope move off the target.
Pros:
- Nice pull weight
- Crisp second stage let-off
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- Accuracy shooting

Smooth trigger
For the price probably one of the best two stage trigger on the market. Very smooth action and with the two stage give you time to set your pull and prepare yourself. Also good for self defense since it’s not a hair trigger.

It 3.5 lbs after take-up
This reduced factory trigger pull weight by 50%. It's very predictable and is similar to my hunting rifle triggers. I would recommend this to anyone who is doing Target work and hates being surprised by a trigger.
Pros:
- Polished seer finishes
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- ALL AROUND USE

Incredible improvement!
The stock trigger on my AR-556 was functional, but very heavy (8+ lbs). This new trigger takes the weight down to almost half. It has a very small amount of take-up, no creep, and a very crisp break. The reset is a bit gritty, but it's new and I'm sure it will wear in a little; plus, when I'm shooting, I don't pay as much attention to reset as the other characteristics. The packaging is clever and the instructions are simple and easy to follow (like other reviewers, I found the trigger pull to feel even better when installed in the rifle vs. in the packaging). Personally, I feel a good trigger is probably the single most important and significant upgrade anyone can do to their firearm. Totally worth it!
Pros:
- Easy to install
- Crisp & clean break when firing
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- Target shooting
- Personal Defense
- FUN !

It’ll make you say ahhhhhh…
I can’t really say I’m a trigger snob, so my experience is quite limited. Most the triggers I run are single stage ALG ACT triggers, and a couple LaRue 2-stage triggers. Given that let’s move on. First off the trigger is nicely packaged in a way that a costumer can easily interact with the item before purchase. Not sure if that’s important but the algorithm says I need some more words. You know filler. Anyway you see the stuff…the trigger, the grip, the jig… Yeah, it’s got a jig you can install your other triggers in to play around with. Maybe you can use it to practice drilling that 3rd hole…I don’t know. But this trigger is smooth as butta, and crisp as a potato chip. Yuge improvement over your stock trigger for sure.
Pros:
- Included Accesories
- Smooooooth action
- Crisp & clean break when firing
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- Triggering
