Most Helpful Negative Review Not compatible with Fastfire III red dot
All was good until I mounted my new Burris Fastfire III red dot sight. The grooves that run across the Weaver style base adapter are not deep enough to fully accomodate the bar acrossthat runs across the clamp of the sight. The sight rocks back and forth and will not sit fully flat on the adapter....

Mark IV Weaver Rail

This rail fits perfectly on my Mark IV Hunter, good price and made from Aluminum. There are no issues with this product and I would recommend it for you Ruger Mark IV Hunter. These guys are great with returns also , so if you are unhappy they honer that.

review of weaver style scope adapter for Mark I, II, III handguns

I ordered the weaver style base to mount a burris fastfireIII on my
ruger 22/45 MkIII .22 semi auto pistol with a 4" threaded bbl. the base seems durable / sturdy and well made. it comes with the three screws needed to mount the base to the handgun. the description of the base says "clear" the base is actually silver colored. the base holes lined up perfectly with the holes in the receiver, but the base was too long for the four inch bbl with the existing front ramp sight. I remedied this by cutting approx 1/4" off the base nearest the front sight with a dremel tool.with the modification the base mounts the fastfire solidly to the gun.

  • versatile base

  • requires some modification / some guns
Best Used for:
  • its a rail to mount a sight!!

Great looking but there are a few nitpicks

Great looking scope that shows exceptional quality. Perfect if you plan to never remove your scope. Though as a design decision all the rail grooves are rounded instead of squared. If you have scope rings that have square indexes then they won't work with this rail. Secondly, the spacing of the grooves doesnt match the picatinny standard, which means you'll need to move your scopes back and forth if you're moving scopes around.

If they would put a drop of locktite on the screws prior to packaging,it would help.
Pros: easy to install.
Cons: must have small screw-driver and locktite,
