Sampson magwell
Fits well, adds great length so you have a full grip. Machining is great and it looks good. Pairs well with the magazine extension from the same company. I believe it’s I terchangable so if you every get rid of your m&p you can transfer it over.

Will come loose
And it will only get worse over time as you grip it. I had to return one that wouldnt torque anymore and just kept spinning. Good concept but doesn't hold up to what it needs to do, which is stay in place. Sorry, hard pass.
broke off after one day at range
Was happy to get this in the mail and put it on. Looked good and helped with grip but after 15 mins at the range it broke off

The only thing I will say is you have to have an eight round mag because it extends the grip but worth it

Defective Product / Poor Customer Service
I purchased Samson's compact magwell and +1 mag extension for the M&P Shield. They claim they are compatible with each other. I had issues with the magazine catching unless I hit the bottom of the mag pretty hard. I tried 2 different factory magazines with the same result. When I remove the magwell, the mags catch just fine. The issue is only when the magwell is in place. I notified Samson of the issue and after nearly 3 weeks of waiting on a resolution, I finally gave up. I do not recommend these products, nor Samson in general due to poor customer service.

Didnt even make it trough 50 rounds
Very disappointed what a waste of money. I took it out to the range. Was excited the whole time I had it. Shot about 30 rounds and it was already loose dude some damage to the polymer. Ripped it out with ease.

Great addition to my 1st Generation Shield.
This is exactly what I was looking for. Gives just enough extra grip to give my pinky finger something to rest on other than the magazine. And with the grip extended,the firearm fits in my hand more consistently. Because I do run Pearce +2 magazine extensions on the factory 8 round magazines, I knew from the start that the magwell might not work with my setup. After dry fitting everything and seeing where the magazine was binding, I did have to do a little modification for the magazines to release properly. Nothing that a file couldn't fix. Now the magazines drop smooth and are a bit easier to insert. Very happy with this purchase. Definitely would recommend.

Outstanding ergonomics and Versitlity
The first review is accurate. Although, I'd like to add that this magwell works well with the samson +1 round base pad, as well as, the standard factory base pads... That makes it more versatile than a taran tactical magwell, because you can only use proprietary base pads with proprietary magwells. With this Samson magwell, you're not forced to buy proprietary base pads just to get your magazines to work properly. I chose to purchase the Samson +1 base pads and I have zero buyers remorse. That being said if you choose not too, no big deal. Compared to fit, finish, and feel from standard to magwell installed is Night/Day Better! Extending grip enough for full grip with all fingers attached comfortably and magazines drop clean and clear with no grip changes needed to change magazines. Outstanding!
