Best magazine out there for the gun.
It's simple, this is the best magazine for the savage MK 2 at the best price too. It's a little expensive for just a 10 rd 22 lr but it's reliable and most likely you wont see it elsewhere. It works clean and it's easier to use.

Magazine does not feed properly when fully loaded
I've purchase 3 of these magazine, all of them will not feed properly with 10 rounds in the magazine. 2 of them will start to feed properly with 7 round in magazine and 1 of them will only work with no more than 6 rounds in the magazine.

As good as anything for this rifle.
The Savage Mark II is a gem in the world of Rimfire rifles. Truly competition worthy accuracy. The numerous configurations, affordability Etc.. make this, in my opinion, unbeatable dollar-for-dollar. But the magazines kind of suck. My most recent purchase has a bull barrel, threaded from the factory, a Boyd's stock, shoots like a dream but comes with a chintzy 5 round magazine that will have you pulling your hair out. Not to mention, who on God's green earth wants a 5 round detachable magazine anyway? 5 rimfire rounds, give me a break. I was shooting 30 round 10/22 magazines at 10 years old. I digress. The 10 round option that I purchased here on opticsplanet, improves the shooting experience a lot. For a Savage magazine, good to go. And of course ordering it here helps out, considering I know I'll get a good price and it'll be on my doorstep quickly.

Good price and fast shipping. Great service. I always try to get factory mags. They seem to be well made. Still waiting on the gun to fit them so I cannot comment on their functionality. Optics planet had stock when no one else did for a fair price. Lol

I have four of these now, all continue to work as expected. A little pricey for what you get but I see that Optics Planet currently has them on sale, a great deal. Add a little oil to make them run smooth.

MKII 22LR magazine
This is exactly the same magazine that came with my rifle. It works perfectly. The only negative is that it has kind of a cheap feel, but the rifle cost less than $200 so I'm not complaining. Got the usual Optics Planet great price plus coupon, so you can't beat it.

Bought 3 of these to use on mine and a buddies new savage Mark II .22LR rifles. Worked flawlessly right out of the package for the 500+ rounds we put down range with them. Used about 15 different types of .22LR from cheap to match grade. We also properly prep our guns and keep them well oiled for use...so maybe malfunctions came from dirty / dry guns...not sure. Great mags!!!

Better than buying from savage!
I called Savage arms, gave them my model and serial number for my rifle.They sent me the wrong magazines and at twice this price. I found these magazines online here at Optics Planet got them faster, in original packaging, and they are correct for my rifle. I have used Optics Planet for my shooting suppplies for some time and found them to be fair, fast, and with great prices!
