Thank you Garand Daddy!
Garand Thumb's review of this particular mount was spot on, and the the fact that he uses the Scalarworks LEAP scope mount on numerous rifle reviews is a good indication of this products worth. Super easy to mount my Accupower RS27 with the self leveling screw, which made this installation stupid fa...

Cracked Mount
While expensive, the scalarforce LEAP was everything I could want for mounting a Nightforce Nx8 1-8 on my rifle- lightweight, quick detach, and bombproof. Although the price did make me wince, I decided I was willing to pay for the best and was also happy to support a US company in the process. Beca...

My rings are now cracked.
I know this mount is now discontinued but if you have one of these keep an eye on your rings. I've had this mount for 6 months and I took my gun out of the safe today and noticed the mount was cracked. I have several Scalarwork mounts but this is my first issue.

Do not buy this mount, fundamental quality issue
Purchased two of these, one went on a 5.56 rifle and the other went on a .308. After two shooting sessions (less than 200 rounds on 5.56, 100 rounds on .308) both mounts failed completely, the hinges on the top of the scope ring broke like cheap aluminum. Not only would this not hold a zero, but it caused both scopes to walk back and grind against mount. I now have two Vortex HDs with what is hopefully just cosmetic damage. This is wildly unacceptable for any serious mount, and for this to happen on something priced at $400 is mind boggling.
I can only assume this is some kind of 'rona-related QC issue. I have heard nothing but good things about Scalarworks mounts and for them to break like cheap airsoft parts (damaging some very high end optics along the way) is beyond frustrating. If I could I'd get my money back and buy different mounts, but I am stuck RMA'ing as I am outside the return window for OP.

optic mount
Excellent optic mount. I pared it gen 3 razor. I’ve had it on and off a few times, my zero stays true.
Super easy to set up. Build quality and finish are excellent. It provides everything you would expect at this price point

Easiest set up ever! Plus Lightweight /Sturdy
This is my first ever mount, I didn't want to mess around with levels etc. Also I wanted a light weight rock solid mount. Got it all with this. It's a bit expensive, but if you don't have a bunch of scopes buying a level kit is about 50$ for a decent one. This was for a specific purpose but definitely will buy another!
Pros:
- great finish and quality
- easy to install
- made in America
- light but solid
Cons:
- high cost but you get what you pay for

Easy On & Off
It was super easy mounting my scope with the Scalarworks LEAP. The self leveling large flathead screw on the bottom made it quick and easy, and I removed the red screw before mounting it on my rifle. It's nice that the scope can be removed easily, and remounted without effecting the sighting.
Pros:
- Easy and accurate mounting
Cons:
- A little spendy
Best Used for:
- Quick on and off without losing the sighting

A work of art, functional beauty.
Amazing simplicity, yet very well engineered. Leveling screw is genius. Low profile quick detachment, no bulky levers. Very easy set up. Very much worth its price. I would not hesitate to buy another.
Pros:
- easy set up
- Asthetically Pleasing
- light but solid
Cons:
- price, but worth it
Best Used for:
- hunting
- competition
- Tactical

Absurdly expensive but worth it
This is the lightest QD scope mount you can find. It's also got a nifty self-leveling feature built-in.
I really can't understand how Scalarworks can justify charging what they do for this; It's a 5-star product but i took off a star for being at least $100 too expensive.

Scalarworks leap scope mount
Expensive, lightweight, tool less removal and no levels required because of that screw in the bottom of mount, brilliant idea that other scope mounts will be using in the future. Great product, very innovative. Bought another.
Pros:
- Every thing but $
Cons:
- $

Amazing mount
Amazing mount! Super easy to take on and off and holds zero every time, it’s a bit pricey but if you want the best you have to pay for it. It went on a vortex genIII 1-10, can’t beat that combo. Worth a one time investment to me

Another excellent product by Scalarworks
This mount is easy to set up and CAN be easy to break your optic with the auto-level screw if you're not careful. I am currently running this with a Trijicon Credo 1-8x28 on an AR platform chambered in .556. When torqued properly, the optic has no play and mounts quickly. It's not EXTREMELY fast to mount or unmount but still faster than having to loosen a screw with a hexwrench. I have two of these now and I have no complaints after firing about 1,000 rounds with one.
Pros:
- durable
- Quick and easy installation
Cons:
- Can break optic if not careful
Would recommend: Yes
