Schrade out the front and Viper gen 3
It's a joy, fun tool to add to my box, it's a good entry level OTF, I enjoyed it quite a bit I think I will purchase a couple more as some gifts, would recommend anyone looking for their first out the front.

Feels cheap
Depends what your use of this knife is going to be. Myself having old aurthur in my hands this knife is slow to get open and cumbersome to use. Having own a few quality knifes in the past this one just doesnt have the feel of well made knife.
Poor Design
The design is not very functional. The way the thumb stud is designed to advance the blade is very awkward. It is not friendly to one-hand operation. The knife is lightweight and doesn't fit well in my hand. This is not a true double-action automatic knife.

Not Well designed as a Rescue Knife
I have always considered Scharade to be a quality company, but they really missed the mark with this one. I rated it one star for several reasons.
The placement of the thumb activator button on the rear portion of the knife, when closed, makes opening the knife safely very difficult. In order to use one hand, you basically have to grip the knife with two fingers, making a good positive grip impossible. You can use two hands, but that defeats the purpose of having a rescue knife.
The construction is very light. I have a mini, double-action OTF knife made by some off-brand that is heavier and feels better constructed.
If you just want to have a knife you can impress your friends with that is fast opening, this one will work for you however, if you want a working knife, one that you will be able to effectively use in the field, I would recommend something else.

Great gift.
My 17 year old son can’t put this knife down. He has opened and closed it thousands of times since he got it. I bought one for all three of my sons as a Christmas gift and They love them. I Love the fact there is a safety feature on the knife. It’s definitely worth the price. This was a great gift idea.

Schrade otf viper
Good entry level automatic knife.the action of the otf is a little ackward in the beginning but you will get used to .safety is a little hard to open and close would recommended leaving it off if you have a need to deploy it in emergency situations.The price of knife is very reasonable on this website compared to others

Awkward and dangerous
This knife is very awkward and very dangerous to use unless you use both hands to open it absolutely useless wish My wife wouldn’t have thrown away the packaging I would definitely send it back if u try to open it one handed take caution

Not what I expected
Do not recommend this knife, the lever is by the palm of your hand ,very ockwerd, I will never use this knife and regretting buying this knife,was very disappointed with product,I will not use this knife for anything,it is actually very dangerous, lever to open knive is in bad position
