Seek thermal XR
Pretty amazing technology in such a small package. I can see birds in the bushes near my bird feeder and could see deer in a field about 10 yards away. The resolution goes away at longer disatnce but you can still see the heat signature. Overall I like it!

Not as useful as you may think
I think it would be good for checking outlets, fuse boxes, fixtures, heat loss, etc, but I got it hoping it would be good for helping with deer recovery. For that and anything similar, it's useless unless you're on top of it, it's in snow, and it's dark. Deer are just too well insulated I guess. ...

Pleasantly Surprised
I have never owned a thermal imaging camera, so can not compare it with anything, but was impressed with this little camera. It seems to be very sensitive, and works well with the app. I do have a otterbox case on my phone, and have to remove the case to plug in the camera. I am happy with the purchase, and would recommend it.

Looks nice - doesn't work, zero tech support
I bought one of these last week, about the same time I bought a new Samsung Galaxy S6. The S6 is great, I can transfer files, I plugged a USB flash drive in via a OTG cable, and it works good.
Seek Thermal's app just tells me there is no camera plugged in. I contacted Seek thermal tech support, and the best they could do was ask me to try it on a different device. So I did, on a S5. Same result, so I returned it, brand new, never used. I never heard back from Seek thermal even though I repeatedly emailed them. So if it works for you, great. Just make sure you can get your money back when it doesn't.
