Exactly what was ordered
I received this in a very timely manner, very pleased with it and it was exactly what I was expecting to receive. I purchased this barrel for a dpms .308 build to absorb heat and help control recoil for follow up shots and I don't think I could have bought a better product for the price.
tight groups
I got my rifle reassembled with the new barrel and took it to the range to sight in. I first shot 2 light charged, bore conditioner/polisher bullets, with low expectations on there ballistic performance. To my supprize, they were within 1/2" of eachother and just 4" low.Then i just had 149gn fmj nato ammo to rough sight in with. Shot 3 in about quarter size group, 3" high 2" left,and i shot a couple more groups to get scope sighted in, but all were like quarter size groups, and all this at 100yards off the bipod of my rifle. I know thats nothing to wright home about, but compared to old barrel it was a major improvement. I still have a lot more trying it out to do tho.

Great barrel but poor QC
Looking at the barrel on the outside it has a high quality fit and finish. Beautiful barrel nice sharp threads and deep gas block dimple. Shot pretty good. I got 2.5 moa with m80 ball and 1.25 with M118LR. it does not handle heat well though. Groups open up predictably when it warms up. The only problem was the gas port. The gas port had burs in it and burs hanging off the inside surface in the barrel. The port is Also under size. Will not run reliably out of the box. The port is below minimum spec and needs to be reamed out to max spec in order to properly tune with an AGB. TLDR; Its a decent barrel but I wouldn't buy again. Next time I'll buy criterion.

Shaw isnt talked about much
Not a lot of reviews or anything on Shaw unless you got to their website but this is definitely a quality barrel. Went with the spiral flute 20” and it looks amazing and super light. Definitely a noticeable difference when holding two barrels. Pre dimpled for gas block install which made install smooth. No complaints from me

Over all good �
The barrel appears to be well made, no visible imperfections. Everything appears to be made to spec. I haven't shot the barrel yet so I'll try to update the review when I put some rounds through it. -1 star for not having any other color options
