Most Helpful Positive Review Excellent Use in Operations
I come from several years operating as a Marine Scout Sniper, currently employed as a city SWAT operator/Sniper, and a self proclaimed “gear qu***”. Needless to say, I’ve wasted an unfortunate amount of money on gear to perfect what’s worth a hoot. Due to some unforeseen budgeting issues in armor fo...

Most Helpful Negative Review Decent communist produced carrier
Made in China, fyi. Not the most robust unit on the market, but I think its worth the price I paid. Only 1 ply flap holding plates in place, as opposed to other S.B. carriers with 2 ply flaps, etc. Side armor inserts at rear bungee adj. opening

good minimalist slick

by slim pickskies, Verified Owner from AL, United States Written on March 26, 2026
At first I was thinking it’s too small, and it is pretty tight fit but if you get a molle mag carrier for the front it’s pretty nice, just not for the side because the mags ride up to the armpit. Material is good and stitching is as well. Yeah I’d recommend . Should be keeping the rig slick with as little going on as possible anyway

TOO SMAALLLL

by slim pickskies, Verified Owner from AL, United States Written on March 20, 2026
Man listen I’m right on 6ft - 195 not really that big of a guy athletic build/average . And this thing is small like only big enough for the plate with no wiggle room , which I mean that’s all you need it for but compared to my AR 500 plate which is more for a man and this is more for a guy who was born in the 2000s so idk I mean it’s minimalist and compact but like others have said the mags are jammed up in the armpit area, pics of this are deceptive is what it is I’ll still use it because it is slim and compact just not what I though.

For Avg to Small builds only

by RazorRic, Verified Owner from OH, United States Written on February 15, 2026
Liked the features of this carrier plus the quality and value of Shellback. But @ 6-3 / 245 this carrier is not really a “fits most” type carrier. It runs somewhat small and should be used by smaller stature individuals. If Shellback made this vest in a XL version It would work well for larger than average individuals.

As described

by florida man, Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on August 19, 2025
Good quality material and is exactly what it says it is. Some of the cons or things to consider is the front and back of this carrier is only about as big as the plate you’re going to put in it. Also to consider the only molly area in the front is the placard piece the rest of the space is fabric or Velcro. For reference I am 6’ tall and about 220 pounds and to get this one took a lot of adjustment and the side pieces that hold magazines at my size are darn near in my armpits. This perfectly fits my needs and the price for quality is hard to beat but things to consider

get a different plate carrier

by Gen043, Verified Owner from AZ, United States Written on August 6, 2025
on the outside it looks fine, however the material is somewhat comfortable, but feels kinda cheap. there are plenty of options for plate carriers WITHOUT the side magazine pouches. if you really want that many paces to put magazines i'd recommend a chestrig either over armor or by itself. the good qualities are how sturdy it is, and the ammount of places to put MOLLE addons. if this is for airsoft, or for starting out? sure. but if you are using this for serious purposes i'd recommend something different.
Pros:
  • ergonomic
  • Comfy
Cons:
  • Overpriced
  • not breatheable
Best Used for:
  • Airsoft
  • begginers

Garbage. Do not buy little wires everywhere trash.

by Bob, Verified Owner from MO, United States Written on April 13, 2025
Every time you pull the Velcro apart. Little copper wires go flying everywhere. They get hung in your clothes floor furniture. The more you pull it apart, the more the wires fly out, the less the Velcro actually holds.

Plate carrier is very well made, for such a good deal, you can't pass this up.

the precision cut mollee straps are very well one as well. The extra pouches on the cummerbund are really useful for small items and mags.
There's endless possibilities with the customization.
