I tried three different factory magazines and three different brands of ammo. Same results. Seven or eight rounds and it quits loading. I thought I was not doing it correctly, so I did the un-manly thing and read the instructions. I followed the instructions exactly and had the same results.

The first time I tried this loader it worked fantastically!! But that was on the standard small 10 round mags. The next day I used it on my 25 round mags, and it would only fill them about 1/3 to 1/2 the way. After that point the spring in those mags is just too strong for the device to push the bullets in. I guess that's better than nothing, and it works okay. But I wish I'd known that I was gonna have to fill the higher capacity mags the rest of the way by hand.
Pros:
- Works well and easy to use.
Cons:
- Limited effectiveness on larger mags.

It is not possible to load more than one or two rounds before the entire assembly jams. We have tried multiple times and multiple different manufacturers ammo to no avail. We tried multiple Ruger 10/22 t magazines as well without any luck. We attempted feeding the initial round into the magazine as well as two rounds and it didn't seem to make a difference. Without a loss, waste of money!

Do NOT purchase the Champion Tarps and Ruger 10/22 magazine loader. The very first time i used this thing, I had just finished loading the first 25 round magazine and had started to load the second one when the cheap plastic turn knob simply broad off. The entire product is made of "cheap" plastic. Now I'm left holding a broken, useless piece of garbage!! I want my money back!!!!!!
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!
Cons:
- Made of cheap plastic
- The plastic turn knob breaks

This works perfectly, just as described. This takes the long tedious process of loading clips and turns it into a rapid paced process that makes loading the clips more fun than it would have been. Would recommend highly!

- If you are using a 3-mag coupler, you have to take it off or else you cannot push the box mag in far enough for it to load properly.
- You need to put one round in manually before loading the rest with this loader.
- Its kinda big and bulky.
Cons:
- cant be used with coupler
- needs first rounds to be laoded manually
- big and bulky

Purchased this loader from OP after making the mistake of buying the other model (Hot Lips) version for loading my Ruger BX Brand mags.....Do NOT buy the Hot Lips loader if you are using Ruger Brand BX mags - Buy this loader and follow the provided instructions and it will work 95% of the time. I say 95% because I was able to load 23-24 rounds in my BX-25 mags but out of 10 mag loadings I had two that I had to load the last 2 rounds by hand.
It is still a time saver and a thumb saver....Read the directions because they will tell you to load the first round in your mag before attaching it to this loader....If you do this you will be surprised how quickly you can load up your BX mags....I have 14 BX-10 mags as well as 5 BX-25 mags and this loader it a real time saver once you get the hang of it.....It takes a little finesse but I have loaded over 700 rounds since buying and have not had one BX mag of any type that this loader refused to accept. My Hot Lips loader is going to be donated to the local 4H club for their use because it will NOT load a single BX mag I own....
Pros:
- Price
- well built
- Warranty
- Faster Loading
Best Used for:
- Ruger BX Mags - all Sizes

If you have a ruger 10/22. This is a must have item. Although they could use a better material making the speed loader but if you are careful with it. you should be fine. you can load a 10 round magazine in about 15 seconds.

This item does save me some time reloading my 10/22 magazines when I’m at the range. It does jam occasionally, I found that it’s more likely to jam if you fill it with too many cartridges. It took some time to get used to using it but once I did I was able to load my 10 round magazines much faster and it’s easier on the fingers.
Pros:
- Quick loading of magazines
Cons:
- Jams if there are too many bullets in the case

I have the butler creek loader and the one by champion . The butler creek mostly loads there hot lips mags but can load tigers also but the champion one is far better for loading ruger mags plus the quality is better
