I have this item 5 stars, only because of the price and free shipping, the item still need work to make it what it should be, its a great place to start, I had a harbor freight one, total junk, spent a day making bushings and fix the shafts, finally gave it away, here u have better material to work with, u do have to take it totally apart and clean it, seems all machine items come with grit, have no idea what this stuff is but its in all of their cheaper stuff. looks like sandblasting grit, or casting grit, the gibs were rusted but that is easy to fix, after some fixing it will be a usable vis...

great buy for poly lower finishing
can't beat the price which included quick delivery; it's not a refined cross slide for milling purists, but it's size and weight were plenty adequate for such tasks as milling out a polymer 80% lower when paired with my 10" drill press; you'll want to completely disassemble and clean off the packaging grease, and I'd recommend flat sanding all the milled surfaces a bit to clean up some paint overspray, but the end result was a vise that turned smoothly and consistently

Decent vise shipped quick
Once you clean the assembly grease and adjust the slop, it’s a decent vise. I was hoping for lower profile, but it’s still lower than others i researched. Yet to see how it holds up durability wise. Arrived before I expected it. Kudos to OP for that!

Great Product!!!
I love my new cross slide x/y vise it is just what I needed to complete my pending shop projects!!! I needed it because I am an engineer / self employed buisness owner that creates and manufactures my own products
