I had high hopes. It was great to use for scanning in the dark. But I put it on a 300 BLK abd it shut off after shot #1. I turned it back on & the screen was all "fuzzy" absolutely no way to know what I was looking at. I took a second shot & it shut off again. Same results after 6 shots. The screen cleared up and went back to normal. I swapped out the battery & I took another shot & it shut off again. I took it off the rifle and put it away. I'll send it back to sig & await the verdict. I'll post a second review after I get it back. I'm really hoping I just got a bad one because I really want it to work & be reliable.

I've had this for a few months and its been excellent. The quality feel is good a little on the heavy side. It weighs down front a little when combined with my 1x8 optic. But it picks up heat from a pretty long way. I can even make out a plane a couple thousand feet. The user interface is excellent and easy to learn to adjust without looking at it. Using only feel. The menus are intuitive and easy to navigate. The picture quality is awesome. Super sharp. The sensitivity of the sensor is excellent. I seen field mice at 100 yards. I knew exactly what it was. I have tried the ballistic calculator app but not while hunting yet. I use it alot as a handheld scanning the area while I use my NODS walking in the woods. I highly recommend this. With the warranty you can't lose. Down the road if anything happens you will get the equivalent if not in production anymore. It will probably be even better than this one. Technology changed so fast.
