I had high hopes. It was great to use for scanning in the dark. But I put it on a 300 BLK abd it shut off after shot #1. Best short/midrange thermal clip-on under $10k
My prior experience with thermal clip-ons was with an AGM StingIR 640. This is a noticeable step up in almost every performance metric. Bigger screen, better thermal performance, more features, better build quality. Bought it for use as a handheld unit 50% of the time and as a clip-on the other 50% of the time, and for those roles I couldn’t be happier.
My only real con is that the bikini caps Sig included with the thermal are a joke, and there really aren’t any options for better protective covers at this time.
