Fast and Accurate
I purchased this rangefinder to work with my BDx 2-12x scope. I have been getting time in with the scope shooting at known distances and decided to buy this to increase the capability for shooting unknown distances. It be used dynamically to get a shooting solution on the fly or more commonly I use it to scout and range a new shooting area.
The bonus of buying this is i find myself using it even without the BDX scope. I have used it on 25yd and 50yd ranges to setup targets at specific distances. I have also used it on the golf course. Even using it around the house and neighborhood to work on my ability to estimate distances.
The Sig LRFs give very fast response readings and have been very accurate in my experience. They are a great laser rangefinder at the core and then you add the ability to give ballistic data directly to the BDX scope and it creates a highly effective package.
I went with the 1800 because it covers the max distance and then some of any range or shooting environment i have available to me. I regularly shoot on a 600yd range but have opportunities.
The 5x gives me the ability to get a decent PID of my target but isn't high enough magnification that I have issues with stabilizing the issue and getting a solid readout.
This rangefinder offers a ton of value and features for the price.

Range Finder
I waited to write the review until I had was able to run the 1400BDX in the field. This is an amazing optical tool. If you had reservations of purchasing one because of the fear of not being able to utilize all of the features, forget them. It does everything needed to make precision range estimates and better shooting engagements. This is a great rangefinder especially for the price.
Works Well and is priced right.
If you are looking for something that will range out to 1000 yards you need to look for something else. This is good for 200 yards and in for sure. Maybe a little further too. It has a nice small size and fits in a bag well.

First rangefinder
So far product works as it should. Checked with a friends rangefinder and they were very close. It is a little small for my hands but that’s a plus when it comes to storing in hunting clothing. Will write another review in a year and we’ll see how it holds up.

Good performer
Excellent range finder that has great optics. Yardage readout is clear, bright and easy to read. Picks up distances on trees, foliage, grassy areas and any objects. Great for target yardages. Considering the price, it’s a great range finder.

Sig OPMOD KILO1400 BDX / great RFinder for the $

First of all, I want to say this is my first buying experience with OpticsPlanet
and it's been all good, I'm extremely pleased with OpticsPlanet and with their quality
of service and products they have provided me.
My first impressions using the KILO1400 bdx rangefinder has been good and I would recommend
this product, really love the BDX and have had good success with it. This RF ranges far beyond 1400 yards. The 5x power is a little low, but this RF is working out to be just find for me.
Addendum: I have made more purchases since buying the KILO1400... I love this company.

Finds the ranges of the things
It’s pretty light, simple, affordable, accurate and durable. I got it to use with the bdx system while getting my wife into long range shooting. Now I have a 2-8 on a crossbow and use the custom bdc option to set my pins. The range finder itself works better than anticipated and has been within a yard or two of my much higher end go to range finder. I’ve dropped this out of trees three times…… still works great!

Love optics planet
I order from optics planet all the time, the products are always in perfect condition and the service is great. This range finder is very easy to use, decently priced and feels great in the hand. If looking for one that doesn’t require a very long distance read I would recommend the sig range finder.

Outstanding great bang for the buck easy to use nice case and wrist strap very accurate clear field of view easy to see sporting dot to get on targets easy on and off saves on battery life small and compact but not too small.

Nice rangefinder
I really like it. It has a clear display and is good at picking up object I am ranging. The only thing I would like better is if the display numbers were bigger. I just use use this for bow hunting so I can't speak of the BDX features but I could see how that would be useful for long range hunters. I think overall this is a very nice range finder and Optics Planet had the best price I could find by far.

know your distance
This was a great deal especially because of it's ability to pair with a Sig BDX scope. With or without, this unit compares well with their high-end models. Nice! Could have saved a few dollars buying a set but this gives me the choice of scope now. Thanx. OP, you know I love you.
