Amazing clarity.
Purchased this scope, and put it through its paces. I was very skeptical of Sig jumping in the glass game being a longtime precision shooter.
I was pleasantly surprised how nice these scopes are. Stunning clarity, perfect repeatability, and some really cool features. I would suggest this scope for anyone who wants the absolute best they can get. On par if not better than my NightForce, and US optics scopes. And of course optics planet is always on point with customer service and shipping. Top notch!
It's the first gen optic.
Great optic, but Optics Planet is somewhat shady by not specifically stating this to be the very first model Tango6. This is important to people that don't read the details or fine print. The fact that it is discontinued and the newer models are quite different is relevant to purchasing decisions.
Pros:
- sig quality
Cons:
- OLD DESIGN

Great Scope and even better customer service.
I purchased this scope at a great price. The scope is awesome. I put it on my Lantac AR and was consistently shooting 3/8 in at 100 yards. I found the glass every bit as good as Vortex HD glass and really like the turrets. There was a minor discrepancy in the order and Optics Planet's customer service went above and beyond in making sure that I was satisfied. I cannot recommend Optics Planet enough. My local shop's service pales in comparison to the service I had on this order.

Impressed thus far
Relatively new entry into the long range day optic field so I had my misgivings of being an early adopter but OP had a kicking deal that was just too good to pass up. This optic replaced a Vortex 4-16 PST because I was looking for a little more magnification without sacrificing on the lower side. The 3-18 magnification optics fit the bill perfectly but as in everything there are trade offs.
First the cons, or, really just things you should be aware of. This is quite a long scope. About 2-3" longer overall than the Vortex it replaced. The eyepiece is also quite substantial with almost 4" of eye relief. The eye box is a little less forgiving but once you get used to it is not a big issue. The power ring is on the large diameter of the eyepiece. This will affect how you mount it and your ring height obviously. If you use the new whiz bang chassis stocks with their forty-eleven adjustments it's probably a non-issue but traditional stocks may require some planning. I clamped my rail mount into the mill and reduced the height on the back end to allow me to use 1) lower rings and 2) push the scope forward another half inch.
Weight is stout but no different than comparable optics.
The objective is threaded but as of yet there no anti-reflective devices or specific accessories available. I imagine that given Sig took the time to list this spec in their literature they are forthcoming.
The pros can start with how great the glass is. Very, very clear and a huge upgrade to the Vo...
