Most Helpful Positive Review TANGO 6 SCOPE
I HAVE THE TANGO 6, 2-12X40 30MM FFP, TWO 3-18X44 30MM SFP AND NOW THE 4-24-50 34MM FFP. THE GLASS IS GREAT. IT IS SPOT ON COMPARED TO MY NIGHTFORCE NSX 5-22X 50. I HAVE NOT DONE A FULL TRACKING TEST ON THE 4-24 YET BUT THE OTHERS AR ALL AT 1 TO 2 % OFF TRACKING AT 20 MOA. THAT IS PRETTY GOOD. THE P...

Most Helpful Negative Review Elevation knob gearing wrong.
Bought to use on a backup long range rig. First let me say the glass is pretty good, I like the Dev-L reticle, illumination is very bright, and I applaud Sig for putting technology in the product, the leveling indicator is a very nice feature. Fit and finish looked pretty well, packaging is nice....

Good solid scope.

by Jim, Verified Owner from AZ, United States Written on February 3, 2020
Put this scope on a 300WSM X-Bolt. Scope is heavy but seems to be really well made. The locking turrets, simple reticle and easy to adjust power makes it a great long range hunting scope. The glass is quite clear and has pretty dang good low light transmission. I also think it is well priced for the value. I'm not planning on using it at extreme ranges, but as Western hunter, this thing is perfect.

Disappointments abound

by Hoodrow Wilson, Verified Owner from WY, United States Written on December 10, 2019
I really didn't want to have to write a critical review, but I think I have to. I was very back and forth about whether to buy a Demo or New version of this scope, but after reading opticsplanet's description of Demo scopes, I felt more at ease, and I stood to save $100 or better... so I went the Demo route. Shipping was a little slow, but that really wasn't a factor in this. What was, however, was the condition of the scope when I received it. The description of Sig Demo optics leads you to believe the scope was simply cradled and ogled for awhile, then gently lain back in it's box, leaving no trace of handling. However, this scope came to me with more than one set of heavy ring marks, a large scratch on the bottom of the scope, no custom turret coupon, no wrenches, no lens cloth and no caps. The only things included were the box, the scope, a battery and a manual. When I took a closer look at the scope box, it in fact said USED... not Demo. Maybe they all say used, but this one was VERY used. Getting past all that, the scope itself is quite nice. Great glass, great controls, and nice styling. Feels like a very well built optic. The scope alone is the reason for the solitary star I gave it, raising the total to 2 stars. Bottom line... the scope was not worth the price I paid. In the end, I just couldn't get past all the things that had been overlooked when the scope was re-packaged. I turned to customer service in hopes that they would give me a reason to hold...

Review of Sig Sauer tango 6

by David Yoho, from WV, United States Written on June 4, 2019
I liked this scope really well. But I was disappointed with some of the differences in the illuminated reticle from my tango 4 ...I have the milling reticle in moa on both scopes but the switch on the tango 6 does not stop between the different intensity settings like the reticle on my tango 4 ...that being said the positive thing about the reticle on the tang 6 is the addition of the sub tension numbers. My tango 4 doesn’t that the numbers ..the reticle on the tango 6 is my favorite of all scopes that I have researched ,the dot in the middle and the sub tension numbers works perfectly for my use .....the Levelplex is a really nice feature....now the only other complaint is the soft turret clicks ....very soft ...I was hoping they would be as good as the clicks on my tango 4 .....not even close ....on the plus side the locking turret feature is really nice in my opinion....way better than my locking turrets on my tango 4 ... I haven’t got to check the tracking yet but I did get it sighted in at 100 yards in 3 shots so tracking should be good .the glass seems to be nice to me but I don’t have very good eyes and am color blind .the only other comment I can make is the side focus /parralyax knob only rotates around 180 degrees so it’s a little fussy getting in good focus ....all of the control knobs have a very nice texture and smooth easy turning especially the power selector ring
Pros:
  • Reticle Levelplex locking turretsnice easy to turn knobs and power selector ring
  • Levelplex
  • Smooth turning textured knobs and turrets
  • extremly nice reticle
Cons:
  • heavy weight
  • Poor clicks on the turrets

Solid Unit

by C4LLanyards, from MO, United States Written on March 20, 2019
Solid construction, zero hold, good turret clicks, great illumination, tracks well, clean focus, clear lens, draws light in low light situations (yet to use during a full moon) I would categorize this as a great high/mid level scope

Bright and clear even at max magnification

by SharkBait, Verified Owner from TN, United States Written on July 11, 2018
This first focal plane scope with the 34mm tube and 50mm lens is bright and clear with lots of eye relief. And unlike many the focus at maximum magnification is sharp. Get the SIG rings to go with this and you are good to go for long range shooting.
Pros:
  • Bright and clear
  • sharp across field
  • easy grip adjustment knobs
  • Auto Power Off/On
  • Custom elevation ring offer
Cons:
  • cost
Best Used for:
  • hunting
  • Long Range Target
