Most Helpful Positive Review a welcome entrant to OIS binos
Stabilized binos is a small field; I've tried: - Canon 12x36 IS III ~$800 - 10x42 L IS ~$1500 - and watched reviews of Fuji TS and TS X14x42 $1000-$1350, which say they're similar to the Canon L in optical quality The Canon 12x36 glass seems lower quality than the others and, with the much small...

Most Helpful Negative Review nice glasses, lack of accessories
the glasses are fine, clear from edge to edge, good in low light. my only complaint is that they don't supply any lense covers and the cheap eye piece covers are not attached, and are easily lost. For $800 glasses, i would expect them.

Impressive

by Wayno, Verified Owner from IN, United States Written on June 14, 2025
amazing quality! Impressive image stabilization, which was something I was looking for. This is my second set of SIG binoculars. Construction is always top-notch. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a set of binoculars with image stabilization.

Great Binoculars

by Joey, Verified Owner from PA, United States Written on April 20, 2025
If you are looking to buy image stabilized binoculars, you cannot go wrong with Sig Zulu6 HDX. They have excellent optics clarity. Canon was and is the pioneer in this category, but they are very expensive. Until recently they did not offer a waterproof version. Sig Sauer has covered all the bases with excellent quality at reasonable prices.
Pros:
  • Price
  • Quality
  • Size & Weight
Cons:
  • cheap carrying case
Best Used for:
  • All outdoor activities

Sig Sauer zulu6

by Tay Beezy, Verified Owner from AZ, United States Written on December 17, 2024
The zulu6 are the best optic a person could have at an archery competition. At a 3-d tournament they are perfect to see exactly where you need to aim for that 12 ring. And at The Vegas Shoot you will be able to call an arrow in or out with almost 100% certainty from the shooting line. I know my dad will be very pleased with these as he will be receiving them for Christmas this year.

Incredible binoculars

by CV, Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on September 25, 2024
I purchased this pair for a Long Range Expedition Boat that travels extensively. We have an older pair of Nikon stabilized binoculars that have worked well but after using the Sig’s the Nokon’s will be retired. I have not found one thing that I can point to that is flawed. We are currently traveling the coast of Maine and the quality of the optics, the ergonomics of the binoculars and the stabilization really make a difference. I’m fixing to order a pair of the 20x42’s. My only complaint was the ship time. Between Optics Planet taking 3 or four days to ship and USPS basically loosing the package for another four or five days, the total ship time was two weeks.

Steady in both "scan" and "target" mode.

by Joe, Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on June 13, 2024
I'm always a bit skeptical about low price optics. Whether they're scopes, dot sights, or binoculars, the benefits to high quality (i.e. expensive) glass is apparent. However, when you run these in either "scan" or "target" mode, the stability significantly outweighs optical clarity.

"Target" mode in particular was a revelation. It allowed me to discern details at a distance that I couldn't with regular binoculars. [I should note that all my testing was done in daylight.]

stabilized optics are the way to go!

by Larry Hood, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on January 16, 2024
I have been very pleased with my new Sig Sauer Zulu6 stabilized binoculars! I primarily use them on the range to spot shots without the hassle of needing a tripod or spotting scope. Higher magnification use is possible when non-stabilized ones are just too jittery without support. It is really amazing just how stable they are. Very pleased with these and probably could have gone all the way to 20x as they work so well.

Great Binos

by Eli, from ID, United States Written on December 5, 2023
I'm upgrading from the Vortex Diamondback HD 12x50. My biggest concern was the low light visibility. I'd say these are on the same level as the diamondbacks during last light. Maybe a small few minute difference but nothing major from what I'm seeing. Glass is great and super crisp. The stabilizing is great and has me moving away from my spotter/tripod, saving me about 8 lbs in my pack.

4 stars because of the following. Adjusting the eyepiece width/distance is cumbersome and very tight. The focus know is a bit low profile, making it harder to hit with gloves and the actual switch for stabilizing is a bit small. The way you turn on super stabilizing, you switch it off and back on and check the light to go amber. Would be nice if there was a 3 position switch instead or something along those lines.

Other notes: Harness/case is pretty lame. No big deal as most people buy other harnesses anyways. The eye covers are separate and don't have a retention system to attach to the harness as the vortex do. I've already lost 1 of 2 eye pieces.

Overall great binos! They exceed expectations at their main feature - stabilization. Just a few small things that could be updated. Otherwise, very usable and effective binos.

Game changers

These are money. Going to be an absolute game changer this fall. Ability to glass off hand, without a tripod to cover more ground a lot faster.

Reviews Prior to May 2023 are Gen 1 Zulu6

by Jason McDermott, from TX, United States Written on July 6, 2023
I’ve tested out the Gen1 Zulu6 16x42 and they are Amazing! Then I saw the Gen2 with a 20x42, HDX lenses, 2 modes of stabilization. I had to order them and return my Gen1. Now I’m waiting for August because they are so New no one has the 20x magnification model yet as of July 2023. I can’t wait to get them but for $350 more than the Gen1 16x24 I’m so getting the upgrade and I can already tell you I loved the Gen1 so Gen2 is gonna rock! The future is now!
