I purchased the sightmark 5x tactical magnifier about a month ago, and put it behind a vortex strikefire II red dot. It has a pretty clear sight picture, and I like the fact that I can center the dot using the allen screws. The Slide to side feature is pretty neat, however if you are sliding it to the right on a AR15, the empty brass leaving the gun will hit it, and damage your brass at the neck. I then switched it to the left side of the gun, and now if I have it slid to the side, I cant get to the charging handle very well. When it is on the left side, i can drop my head down to quickly see through the magnifier, the look back up quickly to use the red dot. There is a slight flare from the red dot, but not too bad.

Positioning on the gun has to be almost locked in, as the eye relief is only about 1.5". That being said, i was able to ragged hole a four shot group at 50 yards with a red dot!!! When engaged, the mount is very solid, and locks into place, but can be easily slid out of the way, and the quick detach lever makes removing it very easy. All in all, it is a good product for the money, and I will be keeping the magnifier for my wifes new gun.

I received an open box and was told it was new, the product seem very cheap I'm used to Leopold scopes so I guess I'm a little spoiled. Even with that I still would non own it........?........ ... ..... .....

MOUNT IS STURDY AND CLARITY OF THE OPTICS IS GOOD FOR THE PRICE. THE BODY HAS CLEAN LOOKING LINES, AND THE COLOR AND FINISH MATCH MY GUN VERY WELL. IM SURE I WILL GET YEARS OF ACCEPTABLE SERVICE FROM THE UNIT.

Love this magnifier, it is easy to attach with the quick release mount. Most importantly, it co witness with iron sights perfectly. So if your red dot, ect.. Goes down your back up sights are dead on. The price is right on this one, well done sightmark!

I really like the magnifier with the ability to adjust focus and adjust the centering of the red dot. The slide to side feature is generally quick can catch once in a while and slow down your transition. All in all it's is a great addition for the money. I am always surprised by the cost and quality of sight marks products

Easy to mount. Clamp adjust so you can tighten firmly. Great for the price. Even if someone gave me an eotech, I would sell it and buy this magnifier and keep $300

the product I feel is good seems to be of quality. but will probably not order from this site again. you are better off just calling sightmark and paying the extra money to get it. I ordered my magnifier in april and was supposedly in stock according to this site. and had to wait two months for it on back order. your best bet is to call ryan at sightmark, he is the only one there and he knows his stuff and very helpful.
Pros: easy set up

This 5x magnifier does exactly what I wanted, I feel that 3x is to little magnification for 100 yards. 5x works just right. The slide to the side QD mounts works well & is simple. I particularly like the QD mount. Along with the QD red dot I can quickly remove them & change to my 4x12 mil dot QD mounted scope for longer shots without any loss of zero. The clarity on the 5x magnifier is very good & the focusing ring works well although there is a very slight image wobble when rotating it. I have the magnifier behind a Sightmark QD digital red dot, for some reason there is a slight "ghosting" of the red dot redicle. It is a little annoying but manageable. Overall for the price it does what is expected.

The ghosting of my Eotech reticle makes 100+ yard shots a challenge as its not clear what part of the dot is center. It's new, I have to play with it.
Pros: Inexpensive
Cons: There is ghosting of the Eotech reticle at 5x mag

Obviously, thus is a great deal compared to other similar products.....but with optics you get what you pay for.
I needed a good and fair priced magnifier.

Pros: good deal
Cons: maybe a little under par
