I ordered this product a while ago and when i first looked through the tubes i was really impressed about the resolution on this NVG. It's defenitly better than i expected from a Gen 1 unit. I tested some Gen 2+ units before and i must say....its not so much diffrent than those. Just the fisheye effect on this unit could be less but i expected that before so no surprise on this side. The focus and the auto turn-off function works well. The eye relief could be better but its quite ok. Unfortunatly the built in IR illuminator is visible quite a lot so i recommend a second illumination option on your rifle. But overall for this price its defenitly the best Gen 1+ Item what i have tried so far.
Pros:
- light weight
- long battery life
- Pricepoint
- good relsolution
- nice quality image in perfect settings
- auto turnoff function
- nice durable polymer body
Cons:
- IR illuminator red glow
- fisheyed little bit
- headmount not that useful more than 2h
Best Used for:
- Airsoft
- Hiking, Camping, Adventures, B.O.B.

Love these goggles. First pair of NVGs but can see about 800 yards with them on a night with stars or moonlight. On a dark or cloudy night you can see the shapes and outlines of the terrain to about 30 yards. The IR illuminator works great to about 50 yards in a completely black night.
Pros-
Great for entry level NVGS
Easy to use and ergonomic Straight forward to focus them and only 2 buttons for on off and IR illuminator
Great for outdoorsman
Cons-
headgear is a little uncomfortable without a ballast
when focused there is a fish eye effect
the lens caps aren't attached to the goggles and can easily be lost
Pros:
- ergonomic design
- ease of use, install and zero
Best Used for:
- covert observation under full moon
- scouting, early season hunting
- night hiking
- outdoorsman

Well made and easy to use optics. These are basic, well made night vision googles. They are excellent for recreational or farm use. Easy to adjust and reasonably light and comfortable. The built in IR is good for close observation. Get a more powerful handheld IR if you are spending lots of time outdoors in dark conditions. Very satisfied with the unit and price.

I needed a great pair of night vision binoculars for my amateur arsenal of hunting and survival gear. I absolutely had to buy them at an affordable & reasonable price. My first search started on eBay, whom I'd always found the best price for quality deals if I shopped with patience. I found the Sightmark Ghost Hunter...Binocular kit on eBay for almost $200 more refurbished. For refurnished, the price was absurd...TOTAL BS! Next online shopping choice was Amazon. It was a bust too. Feeling like my hope of finding decent quality affordable night vision binoculars was dieing of oxygen deprivation, I performed a Best Deal online search. Optics Planet.com seemed so reasonable. Keeping in mind that I've never owned a pair, my expectations of the Sightmark Ghost Hunter Night Vision Binoculars was down to earth. I assumed they would be mediocre for the price. I WAS WRONG...SO WRONG...AND I APOLOGIZE FOR MY LACK OF EXPECTATIONS AND CONFIDENCE IN THESE BINOCULARS! THEY ARE AWESOME!!! I goggled the proper way to focus the lens, tested them and the IR feature blew me away. I can't attest their performance like some of the pros who've commented here due to my lack of experience. But I will tell you that I could see the pitch dark night with eyes like an eagle in my opinion. And that was way more than what I expected of a 1st gen night vision binocular. PS: Just call me "HAPPY :-)"
Pros:
- GREAT PRICE
- Sturdy Solid Build
- Awesome Performance out the bag
- Accessory Head Hareness & 2X Cases
Best Used for:
- Everything the Manufacturer Suggested

I was really impressed how well they worked out in the fields at night and in the woods. I would recommend to buy if you are a hunter. I thought using them at night would be difficult when searching for something but that not the case. I have used them also walking out of the woods at night and they made it so much easier to see things that you normally wouldn't. That also works in the morning without detection.
