Night vision in total darkness using IR is better than anticipated. I chose the binocular over the monocular as it is easier on the eyes.
Good value for the money.
Pros: Very good vision in total darkness

Not worth the money
IR Unit seems to be nothing more than a cheap flashlight! Red illuminator is easily seen from 40 yards out. Night vision binoculars are ok- what really can you expect from a gen 1 product. Good if you know what you're getting
To start remember these are gen 1 night vision goggles.
That being said for the price they work extreamly well. There is a slight magnification which is what i wanted. I mounted them to a helmet using a rino mount for the PVS14 goggles and simply got one of the holes widened.
I haven't gone shooting with them yet but I have gotten to use an IR flashlight with them for navigation.
The IR flashlight is a must since gen 1 night vision only really works with a full moon.

- Good with IR light
- great for starting inti night vision
Cons:
- some fabrication required to mount
Best Used for:
- Navigation
- hiking at night.
