Most Helpful Negative Review Damage to Your Firearm Warning
Do not follow the installation instructions included with this product. Page 5 of the instructions states to tighten the clamp mounting screw to 45 to 65 inch pounds of torque. Using a calibrated torque screwdriver, at less than 20 inch pounds of torque the brass mounting nut pulled out of the clamp rendering the clamp useless and gouging the frame of the Glock 17 I was installing it on. The Sightmark representative I contacted stated that they would replace the laser but not pay for the damage caused to the firearm that occurred by following their instructions. can't install batterys

got it today. tried to open battery tray. found the spring is welded to tray bottom and to tray top. i guess quality control was off the day this was made..

Do Not Follow User Manual Instructions

If you happen to buy one of these things DO NOT follow the torque specifications in the User Manual. Pagé 5 of the User Manual lists mounting screw torque specifications of 45 to 65 inch pounds. Tightening the mounting screw to less than half of the specification will result in brass nut in the mounting plate pulling out and causing damage your firearm as it did mine.
The Sightmark or Sellmark people are aware of this problem and will not assume any responsibility for consequential damages to your firearm caused by following their own instructions.

Installed this on my Styer a u g it's great. This unit is small enough and yet has enough power to be very effective not only on a handgun but on my rifle which will have less recoil than a 9 mm or any full size handgun win win
