Nice try but no cigar
Eyes of animals in a field are to identify. Their bodies are harder especially as distance increases. Have not tried it with a secondary illumination yet but hopefully it will help.
The image is sometimes cloudy. Haven't figured the cause out yet. Maybe condensation on eyepiece lens.
Pros: Small and compact, easy to setup and use
Cons: Resolution is marginal and range is limited

I have had one of these digital night vision for 10 years with no problems. I wanted another and when I received it the rubber coating on it was deteriorating and was very sticky, also a plastic piece on the front was broken. Electronics worked fine. I know this was a reconditioned unit but I think they could have done better than this. The unit was non returnable now I know why. I would not recommend buying one of these demos.
