Raffpap's Review of Sightmark Wolverine 1x23 CSR 4 MOA Red Dot Sight

Firstly, I must admit I'm not a huge fan of Sightmark. Some of their sights are shoddy at best and I've had to return some, but with this Wolverine CSR, I have to give credit where credit is due. I own two of these sights, and have them mounted on my Mini 14 and M&P15-22. I tried to buy the second one from Opticsplanet but they were out at the time so I had to search elsewhere. IMO, Sightmark got it right when designing this one. It is a compact, lightweight sight with a ton of features. It has a lot of functional bells and whistles.....bright, clear glass, a crisp and clear 4 MOA dot (easy on my older eyes vs. 2 MOA), 10 total intensity settings (two of which are NV compatible), rubber armoring, tethered windage/elevation and battery cap, fully audible and tactical "clicks" when using the power/intensity buttons and windage/elevation adjustments, clearly marked and visible directions/arrows on the adjustments, both a low and high mount, is fully sealed against dust/moisture, a battery life that is measured in years, a 12-hour auto shutdown feature, arrive with real batteries (Energizer Ultimate Lithium) vs. the half dead unicolor cheapies, and uses a mount that incorporates a locking nut, washer, lock washer, and pressure springs inside of the mount which secures the sight very tightly.

This is a relatively new sight to the market and to me, so I can't honestly comment on it's longevity and durability. I can say, however, that every function on both of my CSRs work perfectly. I had no issues whatsoever while preparing/mounting the sight and while using at the range. Windage/elevation corrections were accurate and both zeroed quickly and easily on their rifles, and have maintained zero.

I highly recommend this quality sight. You get a lot of features, functional features I might add, at a very fair price!
