A couple years ago I began outfitting all of my rifles, blinkers included, with Shake Awake/MOTAC sights. My MSRs and Mini 14 ended up with Holosun HS515GM sights, while two 10/22 rifles dressed up in ATI Strikeforce stocks got Northtac Ronin P-11s. My remaining 10/22 in a Tapco Intrafuse stock got a Holosun HS510C open reflex that I refused to sell. But my Smith and Wesson M&P 15-22, dressed up in FDE accents (Magpul BUIS, angled fore grip, magazines, rail covers, cheek pad, Sightmark lopro light/laser combo-pure gimmick! lol) presented a challenge because I was dead set on an FDE sight and there's really not a lot of options.
I could easily have opted for yet another Romeo 5 or Holosun 403B which are available. But in this case I wanted something similar to my HS515GM sights with see-thru pop up lense covers in addition to FDE finish. I've always like that setup and the additional protection given to the actual lenses, and I don't have to fumble with bikini covers or problematic solid lens caps. Enter this Sig Sauer Romeo7S OPMOD which immediately caught my eye.
For starters, Opticsplanet got it to my mailbox in interior Alaska in just 4 business days. The sight is well built, beautifully finished, lightweight, and compact. It uses commonly available AAA batteries, with one included. It is a slim, lean and mean sight with a very small signature when used, much like my Holosuns. Its FDE color matches up perfectly with the other FDE components on this rifle. It's MOTAC

With my eyes aging I needed an upgrade from my Weaver 4X scout, which possess a thin, target style reticle which was becoming difficult to see in low light. I also wanted a lower magnification as I consider this a 150-yard and under rifle.
This Burris fit the bill perfectly, IMO, and performs like a champ on my Marlin 444P Outfitter. Its smaller size matches up well with this stubby little rifle. I haven't owned a Burris in nearly 20 years so I was shocked when I first looked through it. It is an incredibly bright and clear scope, and its heavy reticle is easily visible in low light conditions. Zeroing was a breeze, and within 10 rounds I was shooting the usual 2" groups @ 100 yards...but this time under much more favorable conditions than previously. I highly recommend!!!

This handguard fit my Ruger AR 556 perfectly, no fitment or adjustments necessary, and is a definite upgrade over the stock item the rifle came with. It is lightweight due to its polymer construction yet is strong enough to serve its purpose for attaching lights, lasers, etc.

Like all of the other Holosun sights I own, this one is a performer and delivers the lean, unobstructed sighting view I've come to expect. I prefer this simplistic battery compartment style to those models with the tray battery compartment. Adjusting the QD mount to fit the rail is simple and it snugged down tightly after a few adjustments. The reticle is clear and precise, adjusts in proper, measured increments, and it zeroed effortlessly at the range. All of the windage/elevation and reticle brightness controls provide audible and tactile clicks. The see thru glass lens caps are a nice touch and I've done all my shooting thus far with them in the closed position....it's as though they're not even there!
The "shake awake" option is a very nice touch, and works at the slightest movement, but only from the sleep mode. If manually powered down my sight will not automatically power up upon movement. Timing for sleep mode is adjustable for 4 different settings, with the default being 10 minutes. This shake awake option is Holosun's finest feature, IMO. I've tested it several times, without issue. It sleeps at 10 minutes and awakes to the last setting every time, at the slightest touch.
Sight arrives fully assembled but does not mean it's "range ready". The 8 screws needed to connect the sight/riser/QD base all need to be individually tightened before use. Loctite is a good idea. The instructions should be specific in this matter, IMO.
Once again a quality, feature

I liked the cleaner, sharper lines of this sight as compared to the basic Ultra Shot so I picked up one of these recently for a M&P 15-22. It's a big larger than the original, looks to be nearly identical to the M Spec but is not overpowering on this plinker, and is a sharp looking sight. Before seeing the range, it co-witnessed with the rifle's iron sights no problem, and passed the 1-hour shutoff test 3 times. It uses the larger CR123 battery as compared to the button battery in it's predecessor, and the battery cap is tethered. After 4-5 gradual adjustments to the QD mount using the provided wrench, it snugged up nice and tight on the rail, with the QD lever flush to the sight. It is not of a locking design, but does required concerted and substantial effort to loosen/remove. The glass is clean and clear, and provides a very wide sight picture. The front button powers the sight up/down and selects red/green illumination, and the rear button adjusts the intensity (high to low). The sight cycled flawlessly thru both the 10 red and green settings in measured increments, and I did learn that the red/green settings do not remain synched. The sight will always return to its last setting in each color, so it is possible to have, for example, an 8 red setting and a 1 green setting set simultaneously, which could confuse a user after playing with it right out of the box (It happened to me - I thought my green illumination had tanked and needed a few minutes to figure it out

Works great on my Marlin 336, mounted by way of a Weaver scout base and high Weaver Quad Lock extension rings. It sits completely forward of my rifle's receiver (not that it matters), giving me 10.75" of of optimum eye relief for me from an offhand shooting position. Looks very good, too. The optics are very bright and crystal clear courtesy of it's fast focus eyepiece. At my older age I really appreciate the oversized adjustment turret controls and markings. It's the only scope I own that I can adjust for elevation/windage without needing to dig out my reading glasses! It has a borderline "heavy" duplex reticle which some folks may not like, but personally, I love it (once again, older eyes!). Even so, after zeroing it was shooting into the bullseye at 100 yards, maintaining easy 1 -2" groups.
One issue I noticed is that the sight picture gets squirrely at 2X (tunnels, fish bowls, whatever), but at 2.5 and higher It's a tight sight picture from edge to edge. Not a problem for me because I used 3X to zero and will hunt on that or 4X.
I can't yet speak for durability, but my Vortex Strikefire and SPARC red dot sights have served me problem-free for nearly 10 years. I have no doubts this scope will outlast me!

I own 3 Wolverine CSR sights. This mount IS NOT in any way, shape, or form compatible with any of them.
It doesn't matter that it's a Sightmark product. Doesn't matter that the company claims it's for Wolverine sights in general. I assure you it will not fit any of the Wolverine sights I already own.
Sightmark has once again proven its' lack of quality control.

This is the Holosun I've been waiting for since I first bought a couple basic HS403A sights three or so years ago. I almost pulled the trigger on the HS503C but waited patiently as I knew this one was about to be released. When Opticsplanet offered one of their excellent 10% discounts I jumped like a scalded cat. This thing has very clear and bright glass, both an auto and manual reticle illumination feature, two reticles, both a low and high mount with an excellently designed QD mechanism, audible and tactile clicks on the turret adjustments, an included kill flash/ARD, lens covers that click securely into place when closed and fold down and out of the way during use, a battery compartment/tray that installs in the sight body, excellent battery life, and is backed by Holosun's outstanding customer service.
And just like my HS403A sights, this one is lean and mean. Unlike other wider, more bulky sights with power buttons and battery compartments positioned well off their bodies, Holosun makes thin, lean sights that provide for the cleanest, most obstruction-free FOV that I've ever seen in a tube style sight.
After a quick co-witness with my AR's irons, it only needed 9 rounds at 75 yards. I then put another 200 rounds downrange that afternoon without loss of zero or issues of any kind.
This is a new sight to the market so I can't honestly comment on durability. However having used Holosun's customer service in the past, I have no doubt they will back their product sho

I own two of these sights, one that I purchased from Opticsplanet and one from another vendor. Sightmark claims they wanted to bridge the gap by creating a mid-sized reflex sight, one that fit in between full size and micro sights. IMO, they were successful. These are smaller than my Ultra Shot sights yet bigger than my Redfield Accelerator and Hi Lux Tac Dot sights. These Core Shots are really good looking sights, with a decent fit and finish. There is a very slight greenish tint from the lens coating but the FOV is very large, wide and unobstructed. The tint dissipates when shooting with both eyes open. The battery compartment is on top and easily accessible. The 5-moa dots (easy on my older eyes) on both of my Core Shots are very crisp and perfectly round. The sights have two brightness buttons, one that controls 6 NV settings and one that controls 6 daytime settings. I have been shooting in full sunlight on a bright, snow covered range in interior Alaska and haven't had to go above level 3 on the daylight settings. These brightness buttons provide audible, tactile clicks and adjust in measured increments. Mounted on a Mini 14 and an M&P 15-22, both sights zeroed well (more to follow). Also the mount is strong enough for standard applications. That's the good, now for the bad....
All windage and elevation corrections are bass ackwards on both sights. I thought maybe the one from Opticsplanet would work right, but no. This problem is with the factory and is jus
