I bought it on sale and put it on my 30-06 TC Compass. My friend did the same. We both were impressed. Clear glass and the scope tracked very well when making point of aim corrections to zero rifle. I like the taper on the ocular bell- it permits more tube travel through the rings. The adjustment knobs can be easily purchased with fingers, are graduated, and have solid, crisp clicks. I bought the mil dot model as it was the least expensive at the time. Never used this feature. My only negative comment for this scope is it has low level light performance typical for its price range. I bought this because I wanted to see how cheap I could put a scoped hunting rifle together. I have since changed this scope for a Nikon on my 30-06. Both scopes produced the same groups. I will buy another one if I ever need another budget optic and the price is right. Thinking about putting it on my muzzle loader.
Pros:
- Clear
- Tracks good
- Great adjustment knobs
- Lots of travel through rings
Cons:
- Typical light gathering for price

I did quite a bit of research on low end price quality rifle/shotgun scopes....The three I looked at were Vortex, Bushnell and Sightron.....they are all good quality scopes...I own Vortex and Bushnell scopes.....In my opinion the best scope for the money is between Vortex and Sightron....Vortex has an excellent life time warranty.......excellent quality glass...I thought, I would buy a Sightron scope...the scope has good clarity....Overall conclusion, You can not go wrong with either Vortex or Sightron Scopes. Bought this based on recommendation by Nathan Foster for Sightron scopes. Put it on an "extra" .308 Interarms Mark X.
Very satisfied. Love the finger adjustable low profile turrents. Positive clicks and tracks perfectly.Image is clear and bright.
Have a Leupold Vari X 2 3x9x40 on another 308. This is clearer and brighter and eyebox is more forgiving on higher power.
Have a Zeiss conquest 3x9 and this scope is very similar. Sightron is lighter and more compact though. Build quality is very good. Actually like the finish on the Sightron better and it has the finger adjustable turrents. Why don't all manufacturers have these?
And lastly I have a Nikon Prostaff 3x9. Nikon is much like Leupold in clarity and light and size, eyebox is more forgiving. Close to the Sightron. But it was 50% more if I remember correctly. Still a good value. Sorry to hear Nikon is getting out of the scope business.
As you can tell I'm now a Sightron fan. If I'm in need of another scope anytime I'll be buying Sightron.
Pros:
- HHR reticle. Finger adjustable turrents. Clarity. Eyebox forgiveness. Value

You won't find a better scope at this price range. Clear optics and sharp reticle. Superb customer service. My scope came with a damaged objective lens cover. Contacted Sightron on a Friday and receive 2 new lens covers the following Tuesdays. That's great customer service.

The clarity of this scope exceeds the price. It’s a solidly built optic, simple and rugged. The mil-dots are not obnoxiously big and serve their purpose on a scope in this magnification range. The SI certainly contends above its weight class and is worth a look.
Pros:
- Simple, rugged, no frills
Best Used for:
- hunting and range shooting

this scope is very clear holds zero great. Best deal for the money you will ever find.I have one on a lever action Rossi 410 for slugs. I also bought one for my 20 gauge but did return it because there wasn't enough eye relief. I also have one on my T/C 30/06 and it is great never lost zero . I have Nikon as well and they both work great and very clear .

My review concerns Sightron customer service.I have several Sightron scopes,on a deer hunt I had a fall on ice,the Sii 3x9x40 sitting atop my Weatherby Mark V Featherlight took the brunt of the fall. The scope didn't crack, which really surprised me,they are rugged but the windage turret cap was completely mangled.I had some difficulty but I was able to get it off.I spoke to the area Sightron rep at the store where I purchase my scopes,he said that it was an older model and that manufacturing specs had changed, the cap would be difficult to get but he would try.A month later I received the cap in the mail...the rep joked take care of it,it's the last one on the planet! All that effort for a turret cap,now that's customer service!By the way,I can still put 3 shots in the same hole with that scope...Sightron is the best out there!

Good clarity, can see 30 cal bullet holes at 100 yds with ease. Adjustments work well, put a shot on the target then estimated the distance from center and counted clicks and got it zeroed in just a few shots.

I learned about Sightron scopes while reading a review online about the 7mm-08 cartridge being a good elk round. In the review the guy recommended several scopes but this was what he picked. I ordered one from Optics Planet last year and mounted it. Since then I have purchased several 4 X 12 and 3 X 9 from Optics Planet. These scopes are very good in quality. Very clear, windage & elevation adjustments are good, and adjusting the power from 3 to 9 is very smooth. I highly recommend these Sightron scopes. I have not ventured off into their high end scopes as these do all I need. I have recently bought some cheaper scopes for other guns and ended up scrapping those as it now seems that for what you pay for this scope it is well worth it as the cheaper scopes are no good. I read all the reviews and I say it is a dice roll on the cheaper ones(Bushnell, Simmons). I wasted a lot of ammo and time on them recently. So, bottom line is there is no savings so go ahead and get this scope as it is actually better than some of the higher value ones such as Leopold, Nikon, (not the extreme high end ones).
Pros:
- Dependable
- price/value
- Clarity/brightness is outstanding
- Quality/Price
Best Used for:
- hunting
- bench shooting
- varmint long distance shooting
