Silva makes all kinds of compasses that's for sure, so do others. This little guy is light in weight. It's in a plastic carriage. All the features you need to get in and out and about. I've had more costly ones, that were great too. I had. They get lost or damaged by hard hunting. The value of this compass makes up for my clumsiness
