Most Helpful Positive Review Simmons 4X32mm Prohunter Handgun Scope
Excellent value for the money! I use these scopes on my Milsurp rifles with S&K scout mounts. I have shot my Yugo Mauser 8mm out to 200 yards with this scope with no problems! I highly recommend this scope. Pros: Excellent value! Clear optics Cons: None
Most Helpful Negative Review simmons pistol scope
i mounted this on my contender 357 rem max and was quite disappointed.it is very hard to see through this scope.once you finally get a sight picture if you move the pistol even 1/2 degree in any direction or angle you lose the sight picture.this is unusable for hunting.if you just want to shoot fro...

EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED, I THINK

by RETIRED USCG, from OR, United States Written on June 16, 2019
I gave this scope 4 stars because I've yet to fire the XP100, 35 REM, with this new scope, however, researching all Reviewers' assessments I could find regarding the scope assured me it could withstand my hand cannon's significant recoil - AND - my needed eye relief has been verified. I have fully 24" of eye relief to prevent occlusion of sight picture. Additionally, the duplex stadia and scope clarity are very good. Regretfully, black scopes in this model are difficult to find at a reasonable cost, but I doubt (hopefully!) my game won't care - provided the "bling" doesn't preclude a shot. Should any circumstances necessitate editing this review, I'll certainly meet that responsibility.
Pros:
  • EYE RELIEF, CROSSHAIRS, CLARITY
Cons:
  • BLING!
Best Used for:
  • hunting

Mounted this 4X scope on my Ruger 22/45 pistol.. Glass was clear and had no problem with paralax.. turret adjustments was quick and simple.. 1/4 moa adjustments makes fine tuning for accuracy. I carry this pistol in my Jeep and use it for small game .. I’m very happy with this product.

  • Clear glass and easy to zero

Simmons Pro Hunter Scope

by Martin, from IN, United States Written on December 10, 2018
Mounted on 44 cal. Contender.Have only fired about a dozen rounds(to sight in and check out).Seems to be holding fine so far.Only gave 4 stars because I need more time with it. The longer eye relief is what I was looking for.Seems to be good and clear.
Pros:
  • About 20" eye relief

Initial quality

by Trever, Verified Owner from NH, United States Written on June 5, 2018
I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this scope and even happier when I took it to the range. I realise this is mostly luck and a good mechanical zero between the Super Redhawks scope mounting system and the optic but I was on paper at 50 yards on a standard pistol target! With the recoil of the .480 Ruger the scope stayed true through 20 rounds of 400 grain Hornady loads.

The scope has a clear view and a long eye relief. The controls work great and have a good clicking sound. Very good for handgun. The reticle is clearly visible. The silver color matches the Dan Wesson stainless 357 magnum very well. The glass is clear.
Pros:
  • Very clear and crisp adjustments
  • Shock and water proof
Cons:
  • None

Great Pistol Scope

by bpratl, from MA, United States Written on June 27, 2017
This pistol works great and is very clear and for me it has the proper eye relief about 20 inches.
I like it much better than the red dot that it is replacing. It was easy to install, adjust and setup.

Great scope

by PN, from TX, United States Written on August 24, 2015
I am up to 5 of these now, and have them on various Contender barrels. They work great out to at least 200 yards, and haven't had a problem with a single one yet, including one mounted on a .44 Mag, so recoil isn't an issue with them. These are a great compromise between having too much magnification for those close shots and too little for longer ranges, so they're just right.

good deal!

by Jim, from ID, United States Written on January 20, 2015
I bought this scope for a Ruger Mark III Hunter Target. I have not had a chance to get it out to shoot yet. With the rebate offered this was a very reasonable purchase. It has very good clarity and focuses beautifully at the firing eye relief. Since it will handle a .45-70 as a scout scope, I have no worries about handling a .22. A good deal.
