SLR Ion Lite
Awesome rail. The 11.7 fits perfect on my 12.5 barrel. The thin profile makes for a solid thumb over grip, but still feels rugged and strong enough for hard use. Very light, locks up good. Definitely reccomend

11.7 inch SLR ION Lite
I love this handguard. It’s my second SLR handguard and I believe these are my favorite. Expensive option for sure, particularly on the SLR website, but usually find for a much better deal on OpticsPlanet. Not only do they feel great and solid in the hand but they have many different versions and even better many different sizes to get the finished product you want. I used the 11.7 inch on a 12.5 inch barrel upper and couldn’t be better. I also have one BCM MCMR as well as a couple CMT and midwest industries G4 hand guards. I have to say these feel the best to me…. obviously that is some thing that varies from person to person.

Quality rail
This is my first SLR and it is extremely well made and lightweight. Looks great and fits perfect with my 11.5” barrel. Leaves about a 1/4” gap between the rail and my Rugged Razor. The picture OP showed when I bought this was of the Gen 4 model but this is the Gen 5 which is what I wanted.

Quality Handguard
SLR makes extremely good handguards and this model is no exception. The machining is excellent, as is the anodizing. It is easy to install and the retention system seems fairly robust. It feels good in the hand as well and is of a wide enough diameter to accommodate most low profile gas blocks. Perhaps of greatest interest, SLR makes handguards in many lengths that will fit right up to a suppressor. For a 12.5” barrel, the Ion Lite 11.7” is likely the best option around for those looking for a quality handguard that maximizes rail space while leaving enough room to mount a suppressor.

Great handguard
This is my 5th SLR handguard. I own a couple SOLO series handguards, and a couple HELIX series. Quality, as usual, is second to none. If you’re debating paying a little more for SLR I would definitely recommend that you do!

SLR 8.3" ION Lite M-LOK Handguard
I thought you could only get SLR products through the SLR website until I found it here at optics planet. I actually saved more money buying it from this site. Item is as described and comes with the nut wrench! The finish is top notch. I can't wait to add this to my SLR upper.
