This mag was hard to find. I checked multiple places and this was always out of stock so I was elated to see OP had them in stock and at a lower price than most other places. The mag works perfect and I’m happy I finally have and extra mag to carry for my EDC. If they are in stock buy now and don’t wait cause the go fast

I do not use "other brand" magazines in any of my guns. These factory magazines from S&W are very good. The only slightly negative thing about them is that the pull down lever on the side gets too hard for me to pull down after the first 4 rounds are inserted and I have to use my UpLula to finish loading all 8 rounds. This is nothing against the magazines. But for all the hype about the Shield .380 EZ being totally easy in every way for people with arthritis and other decreasing strength issues, it is a challenge.

I am aware that if the springs were not so tight the magazines wouldn't work properly. They are easy to insert without having to "crash" them in and they drop free very easily when the mag release is pushed. So they get the 5 stars.

The new S&W Shield 380 EZ is literally easy to use for people with limited hand strength and sensitivity to recoil. The EZ has the easiest to load magazine as well. We ordered three of these magazines for my wife and four for me. The quality is equal to the S&W magazines provided with the Pistols. The case is made similar to those used for .22 caliber magazines. It has a cross-bolt at the top of the spring that allows you to push down with thumb and forefinger for easily dropping your .380 bullets into place. This avoids the need to press each bullet down into the magazine with thumb pressure only as most centerfire magazines require.
