Fits tight in M1 stock

by John, from NC, United States Written on February 8, 2023
Good quality. Will fit in M1 stock but is tight if you include cleaning brush. The chamber brush does not fit. The M10 tool is very nice, much better than expected. No problem with strap on bag pulling off.

A must have, forM1 Garand’s and most all military guns are issued with a cleaning kit for a reason.

M1 Garand cleaning kit, if you ever owned or ran an M1 Garand in the field or in combat a good cleaning kit is a must. I’ve luckily never had a problem with any of the guns that I’ve trusted my life to in combat, but in shooting competitions and just out hiking hunting and shooting I’ve had spent cases get stuck in the chamber. Luckily enough I had an original style cleaning kit in the stock/ But plate with a good solid cleaning rod and a ratcheting chamber cleaning brush to knock out the stuck case and clean the debris out of the chamber that made the case stick in the first place. If you have ever seen a picture of four American Indians with a caption of “Homeland Security, Fighting Terrorism Since 1492” that is Geronimo on the fare right with an 1873 Springfield Trapdoor with a long wooden dowl rod to knock out the stuck Coper 45-70 cases out of his gun. I believe that picture was taken around 1884? So even way back then it was a good idea to keep a rod with you to get out stuck cases. The issues that I’ve...
