Good sound, simple controls
Hopefully these fall into the BOCO category since they cost 4x my last set of ear pro. A 5 year warranty is encouraging
I work as a volunteer RSO several times a month and my last headset (Walker X-Cel) started cutting out and generally being a flake, so I decided to bite the proverbial bullet.
The Sordins are relatively comfortable even with the PVC foam pads (later changed out for gel; a significant improvement), however if you have larger ears they might be a little cramped.
Sound wise, they're quite good on the default "hunting" setting. The "shooting" setting has a very strange tun...

Great Earpro
Upgraded from passive Walkers, to electronic Walkers, then added gel earcups. While those were working quite well for sub $100 for years, I had no idea how much better Sordin or Peltor could be. I’m glad I gave it a try, these Sordins are so much more comfortable, seal much better against my head, cut out a little more concussion than the walkers, and the audio passthrough is unbelievably clear! The only negatives I’ve found so far is the batter compartment is just a dumb design, but it works. And the headband is rather short, I have a pretty small head and have it extended all the way when I have a hat & sunglasses on. With all that said HIGHLY RECOMMEND to every shooter out there, the cost is tough when you can get electronic Walkers so cheap, but if you shoot regularly they are well worth it.

Reliable Product
I had a set of these a long time ago, but I’m not sure what happened to them, so, I picked up another set! I love these things! I shoot constantly and usually spend all day on the range as an RO or shooter, and the gel cups make it incredibly comfortable!
Highly recommend!

Cording ear muffs
The gel filled Sordins are very comfortable. They have a shooting mode and a hunting mode. Buy once and cry once.

Fantastic directional awareness for hunting
I purchased these solely for turkey and deer hunting. I have four other pairs of electronic ear muffs, and was NOT satisfied with any of them, specifically the lack of directional focus, and static feedback if your cell phone is near them. They all enhanced sound, but I could not tell what direction it was coming from. After doing a lot of research, I decided to spend the money on the Sordin Supreme Pro X muffs with the gel cups. I am SO glad that I did. They are FANTASTIC! They are super comfortable, easy to operate, the directional awareness is amazing, being able to pinpoint where a sound is coming from, and NO static interference from your cell phone. Super happy with this product.
Pros:
- Directional awareness is amazing
- Gel cups are super comfortable
Cons:
- Price $$$

Unreal difference vs walker and others
Wow what else can I say. The clarity, noise reduction, fit/ comfort, and options between range and hunting put these head and shoulders above anything nice ever tried before walker , Peltor etc. the detail you can hear in hunting mode is astounding. Voice quality and shot reduction sound in combination just can’t be beat. Buy once cry once

sordins really are the best.
Stupid comfortable with the gel. Hunting mode is ridiculous. My partner and I were giggling at the sensitivity of the mic. Totally worth the price. Plus, multi cam is super pretty.

Sordin Pro X
This headset came nicely packed. Batteries were included. They were a little challenging to get in properly. But then the unit is really simple and easy to operate.
The center button is on and off the others turn volume up or down. They work great. Noise is suppressed to a comfortable level. I am very pleased with my choice.
They cost a good bit, however, your hearing is worth it. They also fit well against my head and ears. Shipping was quick - highly recommend Optics Planet and Sordin

Battery installation is impossible
There are two batterries that you install through one hole. One goes in and slides down, but the back end is tight and you can't force it down with the other battery. I got the first battery in with a tool to press it into place so that I could install the second battery. Started thinking about it and wondered how hard it would be to change the batteries when they dies. Impossible to get the hidden battery out!! Terrible Design. Do not buy this.
