Most Helpful Positive Review GREAT DOT AT A GREAT PRICE
Tough little dot for a very reasonable price. I have used other optics in this price range and it is not a fair fight. I like the fact that it has a RMR footprint. It is compatible with a ton of different products on the market. One thing that I will mention is that the turret adjustments are a litt...

Most Helpful Negative Review Garbage optic, garbage company
Mounted on a Glock 19. The sight shifted point of impacted after less than 200 rounds and windage/elevation adjustments broke. Sousa claims lifetime warranty "no matter what happens" on their box, but you wont be able to get a hold of them. Get an RMR.

My favorite

by Bronco Henry, from UT, United States Written on September 2, 2022
Out of a Viper, Swampfox, Romeo and Burris this is my favorite reflex hands down. If I had to pick only one I would pick the Sousa every time. I don't know what it is, but it is so easy on the eye. The dot dims down to almost 1MOA in any condition. It has the most ergonomic and adjustable buttons of any I've ever used. I just can't recommend this enough. The construction is closest to that of the swampfox, but the size is closest to the Vortex. It's just perfect. Couldn't be happier with it. It comes with extra mounting plates, rail attachments and any tool or screw you could need to mount it. Just an excellent product. I use it in bowling pin shoots, I've had it on rimfire and 1911 centerfire pistols, it's just awesome. And at the price point it's unbeatable.
Pros:
  • Solid construction , perfect dot adjustments
Cons:
  • I want another
Best Used for:
  • pistols
Would recommend: Yes

Great budget micro red dot.

by DoItAll, from GA, United States Written on April 25, 2022
If you want a bomb proof optic you can get a RMR and pay for it but if you can't survive a bomb then who cares if your optic can? Will it survive a drop? I don't know because I'm not in the habbit of droping my guns. This guy performed admirably on a MK18 and now sits on an AK-v. After 500+ rounds through each I've dealt with no malfunctions or POI shifts on either. The red dot does not stay on permanently and that is really the only knock. Some will say removing it every time to change the battery is a pain but that is a once a year thing. Plenty bright enough for use in the bright sun. I wouldn't reccomend for a "duty" or carry optic only because you have to turn it on and it doesn't have a shake awake feature. For a range gun or as a backup to a LVPO for close up shots it performs as it should. As with any $99 optic you have to be realistic about expectations. I feel it far exceeded mine for the price. Just don't buy a CASIO and expect to get a Rolex!
Pros:
  • Inexpensive
  • works
Cons:
  • does not stay on
Best Used for:
  • Aiming at something you intend to shoot
Would recommend: Yes

Pretty great

by Phil the hammer, from ID, United States Written on March 1, 2022
I had this mounted on an RMR cut 1911 and shot about 200-250 rounds and it shifted slightly. I took it off, put some lock tote on the screws and Bada-bing-Bada-boom, literally. Dumped another 200 through it with no issues, dot stayed within an inch grouping. It’s a cheap 1911 too. I then mounted it on my ATI bulldog and it does fine there too. Less kick because it’s not getting racked back on every shot but if my gun is tuned, so is this optic. disclaimer: I did not buy this product from Optics Planet I bought it from a local gun shop.
Pros:
  • Quick acquisition and many settings including night vision
Cons:
  • Pistol dot not really great on other platforms
Best Used for:
  • Pistols and night vision
Would recommend: Yes

Decent optic for the money

by Chris, from SC, United States Written on July 26, 2021
I got this red dot on sale a few months ago for $118. For that price it’s worth it. I had it on my Glock 26. It was fairly easy to sight in and fit good. After about 50 Rounds the sighting was off just a little bit.
Pros:
  • RMR foot print , cost friendly
Cons:
  • Have to remove to change battery, have to adjust sight after 50 +\- rounds
Best Used for:
  • small handguns
