This is an excellent free float rail with one caveat
If you are looking for a free float rail that is lightweight and rigid, this is an excellent contender. I was able to save nearly 5oz in front of the barrel nut vs my C4 rail of the same length.
I would NOT recommend using it with a bipod and hard-use because the rail will flex.
you should be looking at other rials with a bipod anyway.

Great Rail
I bought this to replace my 10in version with a 12in version and its just looks and feels amazing Spikes has been a great company that makes so good products. The fact they also provide you with rail covers is a bonus in my books. If you're on the fence on getting this and trying to figure out if their barking spider fits you can rest assured it does. The barking spider has an Outside diameter of 1.4in and the inside of the spikes rail is 1.5in so it will fit nicely.

Spike's Tactical Sar 3 rail
This handguard is lightweight with picatinny rail covers and barrel nut. Inside diameter covers a low profile gas block. I used the 9 inch model for a spike's 8 inch barrel and a spike's barking spider muzzle device. Highly recommended.
