Unfortunately, it will not. You would need the BAR Rail.

Looking to replace my 13.2” BAR2 rail with a 13.2” SAR rail to reduce weight. Does this mean I’ll need to replace the barrel nut also?

You will likely need to replace the barrel nut. The BAR2 and SAR3 use different barrel nuts.

This handguard is lightweight with picatinny rail covers and barrel nut. Inside diameter covers a low profile gas block. I used the 9 inch model for a spike's 8 inch barrel and a spike's barking spider muzzle device. Highly recommended.
