I really wanted to give the AXIL Trackr Electronic Earmuffs a rating of 4.5 Stars but since that isn't an option, I had to scale down. First, a couple minor issues with the Earmuffs - there were no instructions that came in the box (but not too hard to figure out) and second, the Battery Compartment Cover is very sheer and I was worried about damaging the cover after installing the batteries. Now the Pros; the Earmuffs are fairly comfortable and I put them on with and without my Eye Protection and wore them for a couple hours - I knew I had them on but not too uncomfortable. They are a bit snug but that is required for the 25 dB NRR Rating. I haven't been to the range yet but ran some preliminary tests at home. When I put the Volume up high, everything is amplified including AC Exhaust, dryer, fans, dog walking across flooring, etc. Most of the time I left the Volume at a normal level so it was similar to the volume you would hear without headphones on. The next test I did was to slap the side of my leg and the volume was definitely muffled. I then went into the garage, picked up a cooler to about 3 feet, and dropped it with and without the Earmuffs on and what a difference; when I had the Earmuffs on, I could hear the impact but very subdued. What I'm most concerned about however is the sound when I'm at the indoor range with my 10mm handgun.
