This mount was as solid as I was hoping, and my brass ejects well with no issue. I will be buying again.

This is the second Springfield mount I have purchased and installed. Installation was very straight forward, and maintaining its position has never been a problem with whatever scope I use. I would highly recommend this mount over all others for the M1A

I purchased this for my M1A scout. After going back and forth about whether to use a scout scope or a traditionally mounted scope, I finally chose this route. I'm still left guessing as I have not shot a scout scope yet. However, I am very comfortable with the latter and that is when I decided to purchase the Springfield mount. The installation was a little more involved than I was anticipating but certainly not something that requires a gunsmith. It is rock solid once installed and the aesthetics are great!

A little extra care seating and mounting properly delivers a good base for accurate shooting. Bedding and attention to the trigger group will consistently prove excellent sub moa groups.
Thank you,

Very tight. If you shoot long range this is the one you want. Get a set of fine files before installing and take your time. This is about a 2 hour process to do correctly. Don't go cheap on this part. This is the one for your M1A precision guys.
Cons:
- long lead time
- expensive for what it is

Springfield 4th generation 1-Pc Scope Mount, Picatinny, Aluminum, Black.
This sturdy aluminum mount provides a Picatinny-Style rail above the receiver of the M1A. I bought the mount because I wanted to install a scope on my M1A for longer range shooting. It seems like a good quality item, and it installed w/ no issues. It's good product, but need some modifications to the rifle. Supposed to be aligned with the bore....you have to read the instructions AND FOLLOW THEM. This mount is two piece picatinny rail, but I wanted a full picatinny rail at least 8-10 inches long, because front mounting ring was between those two pieces(no support). So I put the Lion Gears Bridge Mount Rail Tactical Picatinny Cantilever .5" Riser and it solved the problem.
I love that I can use my iron sights with this mount.

Treid this mount on both of above , mount was offset , not centered with bore , 7mm on both to the right side , both Leupold scopes and a japenese Tasco could not make up the difference in elevation or windage , maxed out on both rifles and a loss of 40 rounds of Federal Match ammo.

This mount fits exactly as it should and mounts up solid as a rock. Great product by SA. This is a 15 minute job if you have a few tools that it recommends. You can't fault anything Springfield makes.

This mount was fairly easy to install and holds the scope at zero. For the install it came with 2 3/32 roll pins. I was wishing for a third when I was installing it. I messed up the first one and was on my way to messing up the spare when I was able to get it in. I do recommend using some type of thread locker after fitting the base to the receiver just to make sure it doesn't come loose.

This mount installed simply and easily in minutes. Is solid and holds zero. The split rail design keeps the ejection area clear so spent brass does not bounce back into chamber causing possible failures. Not for use with a smaller optic. But the M1A deserves better than that anyway.
Pros:
- ergonomic
- Price
- Lightweight
- EASY INSTALL
- Sturdy
