I had pushed out of my mind long ago and thoughts of spending the money required to buy a Spuhr mount. There are indeed many fine mounts that will do the job very well. But when I decided to get a thermal optic, I needed the option of switching from a long range riflescope to the thermal quickly, with peace of mind that zeroes will be maintained. Yet again, there are many fine mounts that guarantee zeroes. But it is the ecosystem surrounding Spuhr mounts that started to draw me in.
