Favorite upgrade to hk - Spuhr Stock Assembly for G3,MP5,HK33/53

This stock significantly improved the shooting experience with my PTR91. Since there’s no dip in the Spuhr stock, recoil is transferred in a straight line into the shoulder, giving me greater control. Additionally, with the rail welded on my PTR91, the Spuhr stock puts my eye comfortably in line with an optic on an American Defense Manufacturing QD mount. Finally, the adjustability of this stock to should help most people find a length of pull that is comfortable to them.

That said, there are a few considerations to take into account. They weren’t deal-breakers for me, but keep them in mind:
-You probably won’t be able to use your iron sights with this mount due to the height of the cheek pad.
-The price definitely stings a bit, and when I started looking for one, availability was limited.
-The instructions are rather minimal, and I had to locate an HK parts list to reference a part number. I couldn’t find any detailed assembly videos online at the time of installation. Also, if you’re installing an HK extended buffer, there’s a washer-like piece that I found to be irritating to get properly aligned in the tube of the stock.
