This is a fantastic LPVO. Clear glass, great eye box and eye relief. The fit and finish of the scope is excellent. I believe this is the best 1-4x optic on the market today. Highly recommend if you're looking for a short to midrange LPVO.
Pros:
- eye box/eye relief
- Fit & finish
- weight and ease of use
- Daylight Bright Illumination
- Great glass & light transmission
Cons:
- a little pricey (but worth it)
Best Used for:
- short to midrange engagement

Great clear scope at a great price. Shipping was quick and came with a throw lever and extra battery that I was not expecting. Some people complain about the G1 reticle and low 4x power but imo when compared to the much pricier eotech holographic sights with magnifiers and cheaper sig sauer 1x4, 1x6 scope there is no comparison in cost performance, clarity and workmanship.
Best Used for:
- Tactical, 3-gun, or target shooting

Definitely the best LPVO if you don’t intend on shooting super far. Glass clarity is amazing. 4x magnification isn’t ideal considering 6x is pretty much the standard for lpvo’s, but the glass clarity does definitely help with the sight picture, so you can easily take this out to distance with no issues. Hard to beat for the price.

Threw this in my blockII and it’s holding zero very well. Haven’t done any major abuse testing or major field testing. But it’s clear and held zero after 200 rounds at an outdoor range. The red dots isn’t the coolest but livable. Some lense caps would be nice since it’s exposed to elements when patrolling. It does seem to have a good feel to it. Wish I had more testing I could do to it. However, Steiner is a good company. It magnifies smoothly and paired it with a vortex scope mount. Fit like a glove.
Pros:
- Weight
- relability
- Clear holds zero
Best Used for:
- hunting
- Duty rifle
- reccee

This is my second Steiner 1x4. I put my first one on a Windham 9mm AR, and this one on my Volquartsen (Ruger 10/22 format) with a Grey Birch Solutions stock. It was a little heavier than I wanted to go for my super light Volquartsen 22, but it works so good, and looks so great, and it's perfect for short range rifles, like my 9mm and 22. I have a Crimson Trace Rail Master mounted below the scope shining through my Vortex Pro Series extra high rings. I just had to grind off an Allen wrench to adjust the elevation on the green laser. The 1x is perfect for quick sighting ground squirrels. I have an old 3x Weaver on my Marlin level action 22, and I'm not able to follow the ground squirrels too well because of the magnification, which isn't a problem with the 1x setting on the Steiner scope, plus I can zoom in for the shots out to 100 yards.
Pros:
- Great for ground squirrels

Top quality, wouldn't expect anything less from this company, a lil pricey but I think quality justified price,mu Hunting buddy has one and talked me into getting one, very clear glass, can see all the way to other side of farm that's 400 yards no problem, can't wait for coming hunting season to really try this scope out

This is the second one of these scopes that I have purchased from OP, the 1st one was black. OP has this scope listed as FDE but it is actually "Coyote Brown", which is actually marked on the end of the box with the description of the scope. It's close but does not come near matching FDE. Like they say, "close but no cigar"!
Other than that, the only criticism I have is what some others have mention and that is the windage and elevation adjustments are a little mushy not as clean and crisp as I would like. That being said I use these as "set and forget" scopes and do not mess with them once I have my zero.
Otherwise, these are great little scope and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a scope in this category.
Pros:
- Lighted reticle
- great glass
- cross hair style
Cons:
- windage & elevation not as crisp as I would like
- color Coyote Brown not FDE
Best Used for:
- Close to mid range applications

I put this on my new Windham AR 9mm, and it works really nice. It adds a bit of weight and size, but the speed of acquisition with the 1X makes it worth it. I usually go with a fixed 4X, which I have on most of my rifles since the mid 1970s. My favorite is an extinct Weaver 3X wide angle that I've dispatched over a thousand ground squirrels with, and if I were to use a 9mm on garden munching ground squirrels the Steiner P4Xi would be much better, although way overkill, lol. The red dot really helps my old eyes in dark situations, which is why I bought the Steiner P4Xi for home defense. I had thought about updating my antique Mini-14, but I decided to go new instead, with a lighter round so as not to endanger neighbors with rounds that go through walls easily. The P4Xi is perfect for checking out those bumps in the night with my old dog.
Pros:
- Great in low light conditions

Steiner did it right and built this scope around the glass. Glass is clear and crisp, reticle is simple and easy to use (.223 zero at 200 yards use the lower hash marks for BDC). The scope body itself is robust and well built, perhaps a little bit on the heavy side for a small 4x scope. Biggest gripe is with un-tactile dials and the non-locking diopter. While zeroing I had no feedback from the dials when making adjustments, very mushy clicks, had to get a visual reading for every adjustment. Has a good range of day, night and NV brightness settings. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good entry-level LPVO.
Pros:
- Price
- Glass clarity
- Brightness settings
- retical
Best Used for:
- hunting
- Plicking
- Defending our country against commies
