Steiner Navigator Pro 7x50mm Porro Prism Binoculars
I got these to keep on my boat because I didn't want to be without my Swarovskis which live in my house. The field of view is about twice what it is on my Swarovskis which is better for boating and while the optics are not quite as good (they go through a prism and cost 1/7th the price) they are excellent compared to almost every other brand. The comparison is really unfair and these are better than mostpeople ever see.
The coatings provide good contract and the clarity is sufficient for the magnification. The magnification is low enough to be stable on the water and sufficient to see t...

I’ve owned a pair of Steiner glasses for 20 years. They are by far the best I’ve ever used. The navigators were an upgrade from a pair of marine 7 x 50’s that were my first pair. Magnification is crystal clear.

Had a set of Navigator Pro for 25 years that went with my sailboat when I sold it last year. Wished I had not let them go with the boat but it was hard enough to sell the boat let alone pick through all the items to keep vs not keep. Purchased a trawler for retirement and had to get another set of Navigator Pro's which are not cheap but SO worth it on a boat! Found these on EBay I think listed as Factory demo and about half the price of what I paid for my original Navigators 25 years ago. Jumped on the listing and bought them now, which to me was a steal and totally worth it. Love the clean look of new binoculars and frankly don't miss my old pair now as the new one's have a clearer view and the LED back light compass works much better than my old one.
Pros:
rugged
clear optics
Straps included
Cons:
None
Best Used for:
Boating

There are great. Very sharp. I have to close my left eye to see compass reading but it might be my eyes. Go to there website and read reviews. Lifetime really means lifetime. They’ve really replaced 40 year old binoculars. If you get floating strap, make sure they send you correct one. The sent me wrong one and been waiting for replacement.
Best Used for:
Boating, beach, shooting

I recently purchased the Steiner Navigator Pro Binoculars and I am very impressed. I use them on my sailboat and do offshore racing. I thought my last set was great and I know see what I was missing. These are really incredible optics and clarity is way better than the old set. These are a significant investment as they are not inexpensive but if you can afford them, they are well worth the cost.
Pros:
High quality
Cons:
Expensive
Best Used for:
Sailing

Great optics, auto focus makes use on a pitching rolling boat much easier, high quality at a reasonable price. I have used them at night and the light gathering is quite good. I did not go for the available compass option and am not sorry. If I want to know the compass heading to what I am looking at I simply turn the boat in that direction and read the heading off the helm compass.

Great marine binocular. I purchase this binocular to use on my boat when fishing offshore. I was able to spot different items at sea and with the use of the built in compass, I was able to navigate the boat to the location I wanted to investigate. Good optics.
